Tuxedo shirt and two melons.  That dude knows how to party.

I'll just lump all the reports in here:
QuoteThe most significant moment of the first morning of full-contact drills at Eagles' training camp was little-noticed by the Lehigh crowd. In a noncontact 7-on-7 drill just before 10 a.m., Asante Samuel limped off. Samuel and Eagles athletic trainer Rick Burkholder walked to the locker room.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said the Birds' $57 million free agent signee strained the opposite hamstring from the one that kept him out of the final week of minicamp work last month. "We'll just see how he does with that," Reid said.

Suddenly, Lito Sheppard didn't have to rotate in with the first-team defense; he was back at his old left corner spot.

"That's just until the man gets back healthy," Sheppard said

Samuel, who had been scheduled to appear in the news conference tent Saturday, canceled his appearance. Reid typically asks injured players not to detail their situations.

A hamstring injury is not earth-shattering, unless it lingers.

"Gingerly, but he was able to walk off. That's a good sign," free safety Brian Dawkins said.

Fullback Luke Lawton and left tackle Tra Thomas left late in practice with cramps. Team president Joe Banner said nothing was new in the Shawn Andrews situation. The Eagles' starting right guard has not reported to camp. He was scheduled to meet today with agent Rich Moran.

"It is a personal situation," Banner said. "We want to respect his privacy."

Asked if Andrews is being fined, Banner said: "We'd like to keep that internal as well."

God forbid they actually release information about the team.

iceholes.

Wait.  Banner is actually staying mum and not taking the opportunity to trash talk the absent player?

He must have gotten some this morning.  Probably from Westbrook's agent.

mussa

i bet manneans got attacked with a quickness running up into camp like that with watermelon

am i the only one who noticed jon runyan is wearing those gay as rubber clog shoes? i guess runyan can get away with it

They are supposed to be comfortable as anything, but they are ugly as mud. They look like prison issue flip flops.

Went up to camp today, morning practice was outside, afternoon practice inside because of the rain.

QBs - Mcnabb looked his usualy self. Didn't notice any pain in his throwing motion. Was as mobile as ever
Kolb completed a beautiful 30 yard pass to Booker who was running down the sideline. What made it so nice was he laid the ball in between two defenders. Other than that Kolb struggled today. He had Deshean Jackson wide open during 7 on 7 drills but didn't see him. Someone in the crowd yelled 'Open your eyes Kolb'. Overall he didn't have a good day

RBs - Westbrook is just unbelievable. Clearly the best football player on the team. Had a nice 70 yard run during live drills
Booker reminds me of Warrick Dunn, has great hands. I can see him being a big part of the offense this year, especially in the passing game
Buckhalter looked really good. Great burst on a couple of runs.
From what I saw Moats won't make the team. He just wasn't impressive. Same goes for Tony Hunt, he's just too slow.

OL - King Dunlap is huge. He towered over Tra and Runyan which isn't easy to do. He had an okay day.
MJG did a decent job in Andrews spot. Westbrook ran through his hole on his TD
Justice looked good, noticed him most in pass protection, seemed to be getting lower with his blocks.
Rest of the line looked the same.

TEs - Kris Wilson sucks. I doubt he makes the team. Couldn't catch a cold.
LJ looked good
Celek will make the team but he's slow
Schoebel was meh

WRs - Curtis failed to impress. He dropped a couple of passes and was having a hard time getting open
Reggie Brown looked really good. Showed some nice hands on a couple of grabs
Deshean Jackson has blazing speed. Took a reverse but was leveled by Dawk. I can definitely see Jackson having an impact this year. Maybe 30 catches
Avant is looked good. Baskett was interviewed and said he came in at 210, down 20 lbs. The coaches wanted him leaner.

DL - Patterson gained about 20-30 lbs. I had field passes and someone mentioned the coaches wanting him to bulk up during the offseason. I figured he gained it from having the munchies. He and Bunkley are clearly the starters. Klecko lined up at DT, didn't do much from what I saw. Didn't notice Reagor or Van Oehoffflffflin much either. Trevor Laws and Bryan Smith walked behind us at one point.
Darren Howard looked really lean and made some nice plays in the backfield. Looks like a totally different player. Juqua Parker and Cole lined up as the starters. Clemons made a nice play in the flat but he was lining up with the 2nd and 3rd teams. Abiamiri had a nice push and made a couple of tackles.

LBs  - Gaither is the vocal leader. Bradley dropped a INT during 7 on 7s. Anything that was dropped or tipped the Lbs were all over it. Mays made a nice stick at one point.

DBs - Considine stood out today. Hard to believe, but he made a real nice hit on Lawton in the backfield and blew up a few other plays. Looks like he might have bulked up a little.
Dawk is still the man. He looked as good as ever.
JR Reed looked really good and fast.
Didn't get a chance to see Demps in action
Lito looked good, you could tell he's carrying a chip on his shoulder. He was vocal today. He stayed step for step with Deshean Jackson on a sideline route.
Hanson looked good as did Sheldon Brown.

That's pretty much it. I tried to stick to starters, draft picks and fringe players. Also Brian Baldinger was there with NFL Films taping a segment about training camps. He does a weird thing by putting his gum in the back of his ear when he's on camera then back in his mouth when he's off. Baldinger joked with Banner about how physical the camp was. Banner made some comment about not being popular or something. Stood next to Ike Reese and Les Bowen for a majority of the practice.

MDS

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

... that's because we will trade for Boldin so Jackson won't need immediate playing time!!

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

QuoteVictor Abiamiri-DL-Eagles Jul. 28 - 9:26 am et

Victor Abiamiri might miss "a significant amount" of training camp after injuring his wrist on Sunday morning.

Abiamiri, who figures to see the majority of plays at left end for Philadelphia, will undergo further tests on Monday. For now, it doesn't seem like his status is in question for Week 1
