I can't fathom how Broxton would pitch around someone who hasn't had a big league at bat since 2004. Perhaps he was pre-aware of the awesomeness that is Andy Tracy and didn't want to bother getting more proof of the fact?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I fell asleep during the 10th inning and never woke back up.

I hate working.

Think I could feel the wind generated from ChokeDawg's strikeout here in Doylestown.  He's pathetic to watch.  I don't care about his HRs and RBIs, he is just absolutely maddening.

Rollins did something relevant for the first time in 2 weeks. I was listening to the game on my way home when he was hit by a pitch, LA said "you don't ever wanna see a player get hit but it's a good thing if you're Jimmy Rollins"

I'll give this team credit for something....impeccable timing. I just got my bill for postseason tickets.

Brett Myers...stud.

I was ready to ask who the new pitcher wearing #39 was.

Myers is great... when he has his head on straight.  Which isn't often enough.  But I'll take it for now.

They aren't as good as what you saw in may and june...and they aren't as bad as july and the opening of august. They are tied in the loss column with the division leader, and are currently 13 games over .500, granted if they were a powerhouse team, they would be 20 games over, and have a 8 to 10 game lead, but they arent. But they don't suck.

As inconsistent as the phils are...the mets are worse (and just lost Maine to injury).

I've maintained all along, they are good enough to win the division. And I think they will.

Fans in general grossly overreact during a baseball season. Even a terrible month can be recovered from.

why isnt igy telling me how the phillies will lose the division by 8 games or whatever nonsensical number he was spouting on about

this offense=fine.

mpmcgraw

that is incredibly accurate

i was right about burrell i was right about bourn i am right about pretty much everything.

just accept it and we will all get along much better from here on out.  aint that right toddo?

I will say this, i defended Manuel last season because he kept the team playing hard...whatever worked for him to get the players motivated last season has worn thin this season.

The phils won't fire him, but unless they advance at least 1 series in the playoffs, he should be let go.
