Here's how "combat" looks so far.  I'm still tweaking the numbers - the teams below are evenly matched, so we'll see how low or high scoring the games go once there is a difference.  I also have to put field goals in - right now it is punting in the red zone.  There are 75 total plays in a game - that might be a bit short, but as you can see adding more would be a butt load of text that no one would read.

As for the Energy / Will, I was thinking Hype and Current streak: The longer your current win streak, the faster your Hype goes up.  That's one way you can slow down someone else's progress.

I'm thinking of making HP injuries: during a game, you have a random chance of injuries.  If you get too many injuries you can't play any more.
