I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

I'm not obsessing, but I'll jump in on a gang war if you need the bodies.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

so what is the best weapon to have?  is it the AK-47?

and whats the best protection, the armored car?

Maybe some of our brothers in Memphis can hook us up, yo.

So, here's my football concept:

Stats: Power, Speed, Defense, Special Teams, Coaching

Combat: A game played out over a fixed number of plays.  Power > Speed more running plays, Speed > Power more passing plays.  Includes Kickoffs, punts and field goals.  Coaching affects penalties, perhaps also a factor on other plays.

I'm still brainstorming about the other factors of the game:
Leveling, Training - not sure how this is going to work yet.

Items: "Free Agents"

Housing: Probably something that affects training.

Cities: No clue.

Any comments / ideas?

anyone notice that you don't actually have to vote to get any of the rewards.  as long as you click the link you're good.

I just noticed an AK and an armored car in the armory...anyone mind if I pick it up? Otherwise...I've got about 600k...if someone can buy me something really nice.  :deion

thats pretty cool. would one person control a team, or would this actual team be separate players of the game? if i were you i would go into madden and look at the attributes, pick out maybe a quarter or half of those...base your training and skills of players off of this. give players option to train these specific attributes.

for example: training - weight room - helps build strength and power. power can be a general attribute, where if your a running back it helps you break tackles. fb's block better. if your a o-lineman it helps you block better. if your a d-lineman it helps you shed blocks. etc...

Track - helps build speed

Cardio - stamina - able to stay on the field longer

Receivers drill - helps WR, TE catch better, helps DB's LB's defend better against pass

Running back drill - helps RB's and FBs gain better agility, balance - helps LB's and DL tackling ability

As far as gameplay - if you had a high ranked player on D or two, you can have the choice to use a impact play. maybe 2 per half...in critical situations. much like NCAA

Football is a game of strategy so def make the play calling simple. call zone, man, blitz plays. also maybe have a option to pick if the person is passing, running

i like this idea...it could be alot of fun, but actually getting someone to develop it and make it work is beyond me

Yeah the football idea could be really cool. I think the limitations in the code might become frustrating though.

I'm going with a one person controls a team approach, and the game plays itself out like a battle on FC.  If you want to micro-manage the game, go play Bloodbowl  (or Madden) :)

HA! Well it can be done. Ever seen this hockey sim?

I always wished there was something like this for football...

I think the Fatal Combat approach would be cool though. Certainly not as much work.

I already did my part - got my top Memphis weapons and donated my AK and armored car to the gang.
