Raiders CB Fabian Washington was arrested Tuesday night on a domestic battery charge.
He is accused of grabbing his girlfriend from behind during an argument. Washington claims the confrontation never became physical. A first-round pick in 2005, Washington lost his starting job to Stanford Routt last year.

Its getting funnier every day seeing this shtein ,but how the NFL continues to maintain this bright image among athletes in America, while the NBA is ranked the lowest out of all the major sports. The only reason for the NBA ranking is because its race driven, and thats sad. Maybe its the fact that NFL players faces are covered up by their helmets and we cant see them every week, as in NBA players and MLB you can. There is no way after reading column by column of arrest almost every day (the kind of arrests for that matter) that the NFL can still rank so high. Unbelievable

Anyway you look at it, the NFL is truly covered in scumbags

The NFL also has 3 times as many players as the NBA.

No smart guy, but they are 3 times more likely to have players pop up in the news.
Also the NBA sux so nobody cares.

which in turn should have a sharper effect on the image of the league..smart guy. That is the point

Except no one really gives a shtein when one of these guys are arrested. Except for people on message boards and talk show hosts.

53 players on an NFL roster
I think 12 on an NBA roster

That means that for roughly every NBA player who gets arrested, could get 4 from the NFL and the percentages would be about the same.  Naturally the NFL is going to have a higher number of people who get into trouble......they have more population.  You gotta look at the percentages instead of just #'s alone.

Former Titans WR Tyrone Calico was arrested early Wednesday on charges of DUI and violation of the "implied consent" law.
He was stopped at 2:30AM for weaving and later freed on bond. The 2003 second-round pick tried out for the Giants in '06, but is likely done in the NFL.

I remember when that guy came out in the draft.  There was some guy from Tennessee on the EMB that was obsessed with him or friends with him or some shtein and thought he'd be the next T.O.

Great thread.  It's nice to have all this information in one place.
