all 15 year olds are emo

What's emo?

If that means emotionally disturbed, no one had any idea this was coming.  Caught us all off guard.
But as Dio said, what HS kid isn't a little farged up.
Anyone but Reid.

I'm sorry to hear your troubles MMH.

Weird, but I had a cousin...didnt really know him who hung himself last year. He was 15 living in Tijuana with his family. Apparently he didnt show any signs of anything but I'm assuming he was also EMO.

I read his suicide letter, my dad got hold of a copy, and it basically told his mom to not blame herself...its not her fault, that he was going to a better place, he didnt ask to be brought into this piece of shtein world, etc....

I smell goth/emo type...like I said, didn't know him...but I guess you have to pay attention at that age...
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

Sorry to hear that MMH.  I'm sure the kid wasn't thinking through the consequences, though.  15 year olds tend to make big mistakes...this was just a permanent one.  Sucks that the family has to have this hanging over their heads every year during the holidays.

[group hug]That sucks MMH. One of my best friends growing up killed himself about 12 years ago. I felt really bad for his parents because they were such nice people. He was in the same boat whereas his parents were well off, he was very smart, got girls etc. This guy was always a little nutty so I guess we should have saw it coming. It was about a girl (crazy one) and I'll bet there's a good chance your nephews death was over a girl.[/group hug]

I think MMH's views on 15-year-olds committing suicide are spot on.

I can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic.  And, either way, I'd have to agree with you.

That sucks man. Every year around the holidays, crap like this happens to people. Three years ago a guy I knew who drove a truck delivering pesticides blew his brains out with a shotgun in his mothers kitchen because he had gotten a DWI coming home from a Christmas party. It was a real nice present for his mom. I guess people get wrapped up so much in themselves and whats wrong with them they don't think about how what they do affects others close to them. Kinda' selfish if you ask me. I don't pretend to know anything about your nephew, but I always thought the guy I knew took the cowards way out.

No, I agree with you.  In general, I believe suicide to be an incredibly selfish act committed by only the most asinine of cowards.  There are rare exceptions, but not for a 15-year-old.

Diomedes

I don't know how you can stand in judgement over a 15 year old kid who killed himself.  Like he knows that the hell he's doing.  He's 15.  And now he's dead.

Congratulations on your theories of selfishness and cowardice.

That's exactly my point.  He's only begun to understand how much life can suck.  Save the offing of oneself until you have a more complete knowledge of it.

Being farged in the head doesn't have any age qualifiers.

The man. The myth. The legend.

The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.
