LOL - that simply isn't true, but whatever.  He's better than anything the Eagles have and if you match him up with a Pro Bowl quarterback like Donovan, he'd be an excellent complementary weapon for Westbrook, Curtis, L.J., etc.

Boldin is not a big receiver as far as height is concerned. He's plays big and is stronger than most safeties. I guess Evans, Brown and Curtis are better than what we have now. farg

All the talk about McNabb not having weight on wanting to get playmakers. Thats bullshtein. Other players mentioned it. I haven't talked to one fan who doesn't want another playmaker on offense.  The FO seems like they have made an effort...but really we have no idea how hard. The thing is there are many teams with great receivers, why we didn't push for anyone else is beyond me, maybe they did we just didn't hear about it. The thing is we still have the draft coming up and anything can happen at the draft. We might get rid of a few picks for a WR, do we have the money?

no one is saying hes a great wr...

Then he is not worth trading for. I'd rather keep Lito then trade him for more buffalo slop.

...but he would automatically become the best wr

No.

he would open up stuff for everyone else and make the offense significantly better...

Like he did in buffalo?

The Eagles don't throw the fade anyway so what good is having a 6'4" receiver exactly?  It's not as if they would use him properly.

Who cares about the fade pattern? Teams use it a couple of times a season and its not so much about height as it is where the QB places the ball. I want a guy Donovan can toss the ball up to and he can go up and get it. Right now he has to rely too much on timing.

precisely...they use their TE and RB way more in the red zone than any wr much less a big one...theyve had hank baskett for three years and have thrown the fade to him what once?

a healthy LJ would solve a lot of thier rez zone problems

Im not concerned with the 2 yd fade. Im concerned when your in between the 15-20 yd line and the defense is up with traffic being tight. It would be a hell of a lot easier to find a 6'3 guy. Its no secret, height has its advantages in the red zone...the Eagles havent had a guy since TO to utilize that

Yes, LJ will help no question...but to have guy you can trust (not friggin Baskett) running that kid of fade in the corner is huge plus to the TE position

lito IS getting traded get over the idea that they are gonna keep him....and like i said you could do way worse than to get lee evans for him

no chance youve seen buffalos offense play in the last five years...brutal qb's terrible offensive line and no wr opposite him...and even in that mess of a team he put up some real nice numbers...especially touchdowns...he has like five less career touchdowns than curtis and brown put together

Call it what you will, fade, jump ball, whatever... Donovan never has thrown that pass and never will with Reid calling the plays.  Reid hates that shtein because it causes turnovers as frequently as it does touchdowns, and let's not forget that Donovan isn't exactly Tom Brady when it comes to touch passes either.

Wing, you don't really believe that it doesn't make a difference who the QB is.  I know you know better than that.

yup...reid would much rather throw the high % pass in the flat to tapeh...or a hook to LJ or the shovel to westbrook...for whatever reason he doesnt go to wr's that much in the red zone and he never throws fades

I know you're not used to it because the Eagles have never had it under Reid, but imagine McNabb placing a ball up a high for a receiver to make a play on vice throwing a rocket that bounces 2 feet in front of a sliding Curtis.

It does.

But a stud WR is a stud WR. You would think a stud WR would have had more than 1 season over 900 yards.

I can imagine a lot of things.  A Super Bowl parade down Broad Street, hitting the Lotto, Jessica Alba's titties bouncing up and down in my face... doesn't mean any of them are going to happen.

In fact, the Alba thing would happen before Reid gets "risky" with one of Donovan's passes.
