it always seemed like when ever Fitz or Boldin were hurt, Johnson stepped up and played very well. He became a nice vertical threat and a solid 3rd down receiver because of the 2, and a very effective one at that.

I could def see him taking on a larger role and producing here

If Johnson is their offseason 'upgrade' this offseason is a failure.

Odom would be a good signing. Hes not a top name so it would likely frustrate alot of people, but he's a good player and would be a nice addition for sure.

with the position he plays and not being a huge name hes also the kind of player the eagles would jump all over right out the gate...depending on what kind of money he garners i would not be surprised to see him be an eagle on feb 29

or WR upgrade. He's not a difference maker and is basically another Brown or Curtis.

pinoyboy2pt0

gholston would be great.

i'd like to see the todd out of lg and max in or...something.

not really concerned about tapeh or davis...i liked davis but he got hurt.  sure was fun to watch in camp.

i wonder if we go after allen bc he might have some questionable character, but...allen, ocho (i don't care he's mildy retarded), and a solution to our secondary (a good draft pick in the 1st to take fs/ss or cb and sheldon slides or...whatever) would be a great start.

although it's probably stallworth/berrian, a RT in the 1st round, and a db in the 2nd.  of course we could always go mccoy/calvin armstrong/kolb style.  so who the f knows.

hey freak, where's gocong fit in on your briggs/spikes/stewie rotation?  rotate him or have him put his hand on the ground (victor downs 1-2 gocong downs 3-4?)

i hope we resign kimo.  patterson got blown off the ball more than a few times and immediately reid puts in kimo to take his spot.  i think our goalline did well bc of him too.  not saying he's a savior, but a good guy to have.
Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No pro bowl WR's.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Retarded special teams.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  "I've got to do a better job."  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Running game shines for 3 plays. Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No adjustments anywhere.  Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  (repeat)

johnson is hard to judge as hes played behind two great wr's his whole career....but i think either him or berrian automatically become the best wr on the team if aquired...no admittedly that isnt hard to do and id rather have an ocho or fitzgerald but as far as free agents id be happy with either one as an upgrade to what they have

So lets sign the #3 WR of a team, stick him in the starting line-up, and call it an upgrade!

The Eagles have never done that before and you certainly have never complained about it.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

no one is saying hes a number 1....but hes absolutely an upgrade over jason avant and/or greg lewis...and from what ive seen of him at least as good as curtis and brown....the point that youre too stupid to notice is that hes a #3 wr behind two all pros...and because of that i said "WITH JOHNSON ITS HARD TO JUDGE"

now settle down go brush up on your reading comprehension strum your guitar and wait for mommy to call you for dinner

Right but with Curtis we knew right away that he wasn't any good...at least, that's how you made it seem.

And maybe I'm alone here but I'm not looking to upgrade over Jason Avant or Greg Lewis or Hank Baskett...I'm looking to upgrade over Kevin Curtis and Reggie Brown...I'm looking for a real #1 WR. Not another #2/#3 WR on a team full of #2 and #3 WR's.

OMGZ YOU CALLED ME YOUNG ROFLCOPTER!
You're still an idiot.

He's probably going in the 6-10 range at this point.  Eagles won't get him...

there are no number 1 wr's on the FA market...again read what we are talking about before you go on tangents...we were posting people we would be happy to get on the open market

and if you didnt act like a complete idiot faking drunk on the internets and posting nonsensical ramblings about...well about everything...then people wouldnt call you on your age...age is a just a number son try to act older than yours

Being told to act older by a white man who thinks he's black.
Good job.

As for WR's on the open market, or WR's that can be had without having to trade something...NONE of them are an upgrade, and as such you should stop trying to pull the Johnson is hard to judge angle because he's been behind two all pros. So was Kevin Curtis, but the whole time he's been here you've said pretty much everything negative and still refused to give him any props when he came in and surprised us all by being only the 2nd WR in Reid's offense to eclipse 1000 yards.

But Johnson, being behind two all pros his whole career, is "hard to judge".
Stop contradicting yourself. He's another #2/#3 WR and this team doesn't need any more of those. Leave the WR's as is and spend the money somewhere else, or go balls out and get a real #1. Adding another mediocre WR is exactly the type of move a team that believes it can win the SB this year (and the Eagles think they can) should NOT make and waste money on. In words of SD, if Johnson is the off season "upgrade" to WR, then this off season is a failure.
