correct me if im wrong but we had a manageable amount of time left on the clock to start the drive...something like 4 minutes. perfect amount of time to methodically run the clock down...and win with seconds left. what does reid do? he bombs it out. if it wasn't for westy and runyan, we would of gave the ball back to the other team with plenty of time to attempt a comeback. how many games this year and years past did we lose cause of fat farg blowing his cork too early...way too many. thats all...i mean your right shorebird, im just yelling at the coaches cause i hate them. my pee-wee coach had better clock management

Really, what Westy's move did was not put that pressure on the defense and kept them on the sideline.

...and keeping the D on the sidelines meant keeping any of them from getting injured, which is important. I'm thinking of that game against the Giants that went to OT because of a stupid penalty, and then Kearse blew up his knee and was out for the rest of the year.

On the other hand putting McNabb back in there to kneel for the last 3 plays also exposed him to a risk of knee injury, so I guess it's a wash. Never mind.

Sgt PSN

Stupid Reid.......should've had Feeley out there taking the knee.  It's probably the one thing AJ does better anyway.

Guys I would like to see them go after:

Leonard Weaver (SEA FB restricted FA, undrafted; no comp) - I doubt SEA lets him go especially since Mack Strong is all but done, but he's turned himself into a very good FB. I like Tapeh but it seems that the Eagles are going to move on there. Spads has been hinting that Tapeh's gone. Jason Davis is still on the roster and he's a guy who I think could be okay, but I want Weaver.

Mewelde Moore (MIN RB unrestricted FA) - He wants more playing time and Childress said he deserves it, but there is obviously no room for him in Minny because of Peterson and Taylor. Moore is a solid return guy and a good 3rd down back who could also fill in as the #2 guy when/if Buck's knees go boom again.

Rock Cartwright (WAS RB/FB UFA) - Because he's a stud ST guy.

Randy Moss (NE WR unrestricted FA) - No explanation needed; no shtein.
Chad Johnson (CIN WR trade) - Again, no shtein?
Roy Williams (DET WR trade) - yeah
Larry itzgerald (ARZ WR trade) - the most unlikely of them all, but its nice to dream
Donte Stallworth (NE WR potential cut) - maybe the most likely option

If they choose to go the lower tier WR route (again) then I would like to see Ernest Wilford (JAX UFA), Bernard Berrian (CHI UFA), or DJ Hackett (SEA UFA) be a target. Devery Henderson is someone who intrigues me because of his speed but has yet to put it all together and may never, but may be worth a flier. Andre Davis (HOU UFA) but only because of his KOR ability.

Mike Wahle (CAR OG cut) - because he'd be an upgrade over Herremans.

Lance Briggs (CHI UFA), Demorrio Williams (ATL UFA), Michael Boley (ATL, RFA), Branden Ayanbadejo (CHI UFA), Reggie TOrbor (NYG UFA) & Khary Campbell (WAS UFA) the last three because of their STs play.

There's more, but those are the names that jump out at me. Obviously DE is a need too, but the top guys there like WR should all be tagged or not let go or whatever.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Maybe I'm being presumptuous, but I think hoping to "go after" all of those guys, let alone get all of them, is likely to disappoint you.

PhillyPhreak54

Well, I know they wouldnt go after all of them or even three or four might be too much to ask. Those are the names I like so far though...

They'll likely sign two guys and then rely on the draft like always

ice grillin you

you mean you arent expecting moss williams ocho fitzgerald AND stallworth
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

When the drive started, there was still plenty of time on the clock.  When Westy took a knee on the 1 there was less than 2:00 left, the Cowboys were out of timeouts and McNabb kneeled on the ball to run out the clock.

Under those circumstances, it was almost irrelevant that Westy took a knee.  Even if he'd scored, the Cowboys were down by 11 with no timeouts and less than 2:00 left.  They would have needed to score, convert a 2pt, recover and onsides kick and kick a FG just to tie.  Of course, I wouldn't put it passed the Eagles to collapse like that but the odds were still rediculous of all that happening.

Really, what Westy's move did was not put that pressure on the defense and kept them on the sideline.

When Bwest took the knee there was 2:13 on the clock and it ran down to the 2 minute warning. The Cowboys offense never even got a chance. Yeah, they probably wouldn't have scored again anyway, much less twice the way the Eagle's D was playing. All I'm saying is that it was a classy move that hardly any other player would have done, however you want to analyze it.

How about Justin Smith, Bengals DE?  They probably won't tag him again, especially if they are thinking of going 3-4. He could be a great fit here, with Juqua spotting him on some passing downs.

Surprising you don't have any DEs on there, when I think it is their biggest need. I agree for most of it besides Moss. I'd rather have Chad Johnson, Roy Williams, and Fitzgerald much over Moss. Moss is one dimensional and doesn't show up in the playoffs. I hate "I play when I want to" players. Moss had an amazing regular season, but his head being out of it in the playoffs really hurt the Patriots IMO. Would I take Moss? Absolutely. But I'd take CJ, Roy, and Fitz over him without thinking twice. Yes, even after Moss would cost no draft picks.

I'd also add Samuel to the list if we can't get a stud DE. If we can't get a stud DE, then we have to improve the secondary and go DE in the draft(again). Samuel helps the secondary in a division of strong receivers.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Sgt PSN

Moss wouldn't be a great fit for the WCO imo.  He's a great talent.....still the most dangerous WR in the game, but Moss in Philly is a round peg in a square hole.

I mentioned DEs at the bottom. I like Allen and a few other guys but they wont see the open market. I believe BAL is going to tag Suggs this week.

DE may have to be in the draft. Gholston would be great.

ice grillin you

i know briggs is available not sure if any of these others guys have been locked down in the last few days...but if not...

i really like antwan odom in free agency at DE....hed be my first pick of guys on the open market

2. lance briggs

3. gibril wilson

4. bryant johnson or bernard berrian

any one of those would make me happy...any two would be outstanding

I have a feeling that Briggs is going to go to Washington. He's played for Blache before, Snyder and Briggs had agreed on a deal last year but the trade just couldn't be finished and they need someone to play WIL. But I'd love to see him in Philly. Briggs-Spikes-Stewie...with OG as the nickel.

Odom would be a good signing. Hes not a top name so it would likely frustrate alot of people, but he's a good player and would be a nice addition for sure.

I'd prefer Hamlin over Gibril...

Not sure about Bryant Johnson...would he really make the WRs better?

Sgt PSN

Of the actual free agent recievers out there, would any of them make the WR's better?  I don't see how.  The only FA reciever that could make an impact on this team would be what's his nuts from Houston.  But his impact would be in the return game, not offensively.

ice grillin you

johnson is hard to judge as hes played behind two great wr's his whole career....but i think either him or berrian automatically become the best wr on the team if aquired...no admittedly that isnt hard to do and id rather have an ocho or fitzgerald but as far as free agents id be happy with either one as an upgrade to what they have
