Munson

I'm still wondering where anyone said first round picks don't contribute.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Anyone they draft at the #19 slot's impact most likely won't be felt for a couple years.

Cue Munson who will say that's not really what he meant...

That might be IGY's quote of the month. Responding to an idiotic Munson post with a quote from Munson proving his point. Solid gold.

Timetables?

But for serious, Eagles first round picks are a waste of time.  Trade the pick for an impact player if you want to win this year.  If you want to keep on keepin' on with the always competitive, never dominant theory, stay at 19 and take the guy you want to take, be he an OT, Punter, or Waterboy.  It doesn't make a lick of difference.  He'll probably suck anyway.  In fact, the team should have lost to Dallas, dammit!  What the hell!  Where am I?  What's that?  LOUD NOISES!  Bacon with a side of bacon.  Racism in Souderton.  Government is good, government is bad.  Knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone.  Crack jizzy in da house.  Peanut butter jelly time!  Peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly with a BASEBALL BAT!  Did anyone hear the Mets are getting Johan Santana?  Immigration founded this country, dammit.  I'd vote for Obama but he's not ready.  Catch a falling knife, and buy yourself some gold, son.  Ryan Phillippe is the next James Bond, movie will be filmed in the Port of Wilmington and entitled OctoHoyda II.  Go farg yourself with some sort of something dipped in some sort of disease.  Ranch.

Lions coach Rod Marinelli expects Roy Williams to be on the team and "have a big year" in 2008.
The Lions fell apart down the stretch in '07, but talk of them parting ways with arguably their two best players (Williams and Shaun Rogers) seems a bit hasty. Both players' contracts are also relatively cap friendly in 2008.

Looks like they better use pick 19 on an impact rookie WR!

All of the talk about him renegotiating his contract at the end of the article makes me nervous.
