All of the talk about him renegotiating his contract at the end of the article makes me nervous.

He's just an injury-prone situational back anyway, right?

Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Saw this and literally busted out laughing:

QuoteI would rather players take any concerns they have to the front office or to Andy Reid directly, rather than speak to the media. I don't think it does any good. Runyan said nothing, by the way. He said the defense was the first priority, not the offense. And, truth be told, the players aren't saying anything super-inflammatory, even if it being portrayed that way. But I don't think anything is gained by speaking out to the press.

You can cut the irony with a knife.

I'm still wondering where anyone said first round picks don't contribute.

only "eagles" first round picks don't contribute.

Anyone they draft at the #19 slot's impact most likely won't be felt for a couple years.

Again, i don't see where anyone said first round picks don't contribute.
But I will say again that anyone they draft at the #19 slot isn't going to be that "WIN NOW" impact player that everyone's looking for. Contribute? Yes. Impact? Not much.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I never said thier first round pick wouldn't contribute, IGY. I did say taht in all likely hood his impact won't be felt for a at least a year or two. Lito Sheppard contributed his rookie year as a dime back, but he didn't have an impact until his 3rd year. His 2nd year was average by CB standards.

Who are they drafting at 19 that has a big impact on the team and is part of the "WIN NOW" philosophy? Even your boy Desean aint winning shtein "now".

Quoting a league source, Pro Football Talk reports that the Bengals would rather sit Chad Johnson than trade him.

PFT compares the situation to the Terrell Owens fiasco in Philadelphia. Johnson has basically spent Super Bowl week suggesting he be traded to almost any team in the league. The behavior could certainly be classified as "detrimental to the team," and ultimately merit punishment. "[President] Mike Brown won't trade him under any circumstances," PFT's source said. "They will let him sit and rot."

You're like the :CF version of the 19th overall pick in the draft.  Except that you haven't developed into the playmaker one would expect.  We are hereby releasing you.  Good luck catching on with another team.

Basically, you're our very own Freddie Mitchell.   But without 4th & 26 to your credit.
