As far as I'm concerned, there are other players that Millen the Moron would agree to. You don't offer up your starting safety with Millen. You throw slop at him and see what sticks.

I don't get it either.  Mikell is the only potential long term solution this team has at either safety position.  I'm totally in favor of the Eagles agressively going after Williams, even if it means "over paying" a little bit.  But I'd much rather see them give up extra draft picks than a young player who is good right now and has potential to be even better.

If it comes down to it and that's the ONLY deal that Detroit is willing to make, then I'd agree.  But Millen is a schmuck so you offer up less than that.  Hell, give him Considine and Joselio and a draft pick.
