So this is it; another season down the drain. It sickens me to have to watch the Eagles play meaningless football. I hated feeling like this in 2005 and I hate it even more now. Another year without a farging Super Bowl.

This may be the last time we see 5 in green and that saddens me. I sure hope he's back next year. Even though Reid said Dawk would likely be back next year, we know that could change too.

I am curious to see how Stewie follows up last week.

That's who I'm focusing on today.

First time in forever that I've got a chance to sit down and watch a game with my kids.  They're pretty stoked, especially since I bought each of them a jersey for x-mas.  This is the most meaningless game I've ever looked forward to watching.

And I'll be paying attention to those 3 as well, Phreak.  Is Andrews playing today?

PhillyPhreak54

Don't know Sarge..I've just started looking at the paper today. I would like to see him out there but there's no reason to risk it. Honestly, and I know Andy wouldn't do this, but if they are having any thoughts whatsoever of letting Tra or Runyan walk - today would be the day to let Andrews move outside to tackle. Reid wouldn't do it because it'd be telegraphing the release of one of those guys to the rest of the league and they could hold some trade value. Sit them down today and they diminish whatever value they hold.

I was originally against moving Andrews outside, but with the way MJG has played (he looked much better last week in NO) I am more open to seeing Andrews slide out there.

Justice needs another shot to prove himself at LT, but I almost would rather see Andrews be the LT of the future and not the RT like the Eagles seem to think he is.

But I would not let Tra or Runyan go just yet.

If MJG plays well today, I let him fight with the wost Manneans next year for LG.

MJG did play well last week and I'd like to see how he follows that up.  Wasn't it him that blew up Hollis Thomas and pushed him into Simoneau on the Buck td run?

And they should definately bring Thomas and Runyan back next year.  Both are still playing exceptionally well and have been healthy.  Well, healthy enough to not miss games anyway.  The oline has been the most consistant/stable part of this team since Reid got here other than kicker.  Yes, they've lost a player here and there or brought in someone new/better but since 2000 there hasn't been any type of overhaul upfront.

Not sure what I think about Andrews moving to LT though.  I wouldn't mind seeing him at RT because I think he would be great at sealing off the edge for Westy and I don't think there's quite the injury risk on the outside because you don't have to worry about players rolling up the back of your leg as much as you do when you play inside.

At the same time though, Andrews does have a few ?'s regarding his health and I don't know if I want that protecting 5's (or whatever qb's) blind spot.  The LT needs be someone durable and Thomas hasn't missed many games in his career.  He's really done a great job bringing stability to that side of the line for the last 10 years and while I'm sure Andrews can play the position just as well, if not better, I don't know if the consistancy/durability will be there.

PhillyPhreak54

Yep, that fat body was out there making holes for Westbrook pretty well. And a right side of MJG and Andrews is tempting to think about as a strong-side tandem. But then again, if MJG took over for Herremans and Andrews played LT they'd be the weak side pair.

I agree with bringing them back. Keep them here until their deals expire and don't make a change until forced to. Although the OL has given up a few sacks this year (45 i think) many can be traced to McNabb not getting the ball out in time due to the knee, limited mobility or the suckass WRs not being able to get open.

The only position I would change there next year is LG.

However, once Tra and Runyan leave, I would entertain Andrews at LT and Justice at RT. Justice played there in college and maybe he is the guy we saw at USC when put back in his spot? Andrews' health isn't too much of a concern for me simply because his injuries have been ones that were caused by incidents like you talked about; him getting rolled up on. That's how he broke his leg and how his knee got hurt this year.

Sgt PSN

Yeah, it's just one of those things where I'm thinking that dude's already had a couple of leg/knee injuries and trying to hold up that massive torso on previously busted limbs makes him a little more suseptable to future injury.  I wouldn't hate the move at all if they put Andrews at LT, especially if they move MJG to LG.  I think it's a sick combo and they should be next to each other regardless of what side of the line they play on.  But I think I'd make every possible effort to keep them on the right side before making the switch.

I noticed that on Madden 08 they have William James named as William James but on the rare occassion he gets an interception/defends a pass/makes a tackle, Al Micheals still calls him William Peterson.

I still think Howard's here next year as a DT. He hasn't done bad in a DT rotation and cutting him and signing another DT who sucks worse would just eat cap space.

A guy whose come around quite a bit but gone unnoticed is Hanson. Don't get me wrong I still want an upgrade at CB but I feel comfortable with him as the 3rd/4th guy.

I might be in the minority here, but I don't doubt for a second that McNabb is back next year.

There is no way in hell they put Feeley in as starter and Kolb isn't close to ready to be a starting QB in the NFL and they all know that. As do all of us. Anyone who thinks otherwise is dumb as farg.

Everything you say is true, PG.  That being said, I don't see McNabb back next year.  Which is ominous.
Anyone but Reid.

Donovan a year plus after his knee injury is in my opinion a better option than Feely or a young Kolb

Even though MJG did do a lot better, I don't want Andrews moving out to tackle. It's possible he stays a pro bowl player at LT or RT. He's a perennial all-pro at RG. Leave him there.
