so how long after the game is everyone going to be calling for feeley to start?

Heck, if McNabb's out, I want Kolb to start.

Well, after next week, anyway.  No need to get the kid killed in his first game.

yeah well that wont be happening. as long as they are in playoff contention (and in the nfc it might be a while) they will play to win and that means mcnabb and feeley.
Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Munson

9-7 will get em in. Hell, 8-8 might get them in at this point.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Postgame stuff, copied from EMB:

Reid
-- McNabb has a sprained ankle, not a high one, x-rays negative
-- Mikell has an MCL sprain, MRI tomorrow
-- Herremans was a swollen knee bursar
-- Westbrook had a great day
-- Feeley did an OK job, managed the game well, ball was slick
-- McNabb wanted to go back in but he couldn't run. The coaches told Andy to keep him out.
-- Depends on swelling the next two days to determine if McNabb plays at New England
-- McNabb's awful day was not a determining factor in not bringing McNabb back in
-- "It was one of those days....probably a good day for selling hot dogs and hot chocolate"
-- Was not concerned about the number of touches Westbrook got
-- 2nd INT....wants to review it and get back to us tomorrow
-- Kearse was deactivated to give him a break since his knee has been acting up....you (media/fans) don't realize how serious that knee injury was
-- On .500..."it's a lot better than 4-6. I got that figured out." media laughs

Westbrook
-- knee feels good, no pain
-- team was concerned about McNabb but they always move forward when someone else comes in
-- Miami is a good team, has some good players
-- wished they ran more in the 1st half but got into a good rhythm in the 2nd half...OL and FB did great today
-- doesn't know why they had so much success running left
-- when asked why he becomes the main guy when McNabb goes down: "when McNabb is healthy, he's Superman .... Feeley is not Superman"
-- disappointed that the flea flicker was called back ... can't make mistakes like that

Feeley
-- thought he was in rhythm until the INT, then it occurred to him that it's rainy and windy, so they ran the ball instead  ::)
-- "here in Philly, the backup doesn't get any reps with the 1s", so you basically make the best of it. Wished he got some reps with the 1s but that's Andy's call.
-- playbook is not scaled down because he's in there
-- conditions sucked for a deep passing game
-- knows his role, isn't worried about Kolb
-- coaching staff and all but 4 players are different from his time there, so he had no input on Miami's players

McNabb
-- ankle is sore but he'll be fine and will do everything to play next week
-- says there was no reason to go back into the game today
-- didn't think about staying in the locker room, wanted to support his team
-- said it hurt to stand and walk around on the sidelines
-- lots of miscues and communication issues in the 1st half
-- they didn't overlook Miami...just stupid mistakes at bad times
-- tried to throw a comeback to Brown on the first INT and miscommunication with Curtis on the 2nd INT...should have thrown it away
-- doesn't matter who you play, just go out and prepare
-- when asked why he played on a broken ankle 5 yrs ago but didn't see a reason to go back in today, says he didn't know it was broken 5 yrs ago and he couldn't run today either, so he wouldn't have helped the offense
-- also jammed his right thumb on a pass today
-- asked about New England....just prepare and try to win, just like every other game

CSN PGL discussing LJ...."what you saw today is a summary of his career.....one good play then disappears or does something stupid". They all seem to agree that he's out of here after this season because all he cares about is his contract. Didinger: "he's one of the most frustrating Eagles ever .... thinks he's elite but isn't"

look at all those comments about how zesty it was to pass the ball, yet when nabb was still in and running for his one legged life, reid still continued to cal pass plays.  even after long runs (a 36 yarder) were successful.

reid is the most frustrating eagle to watch.  he's the one that think's he's elite and he's not.
Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No pro bowl WR's.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Retarded special teams.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  "I've got to do a better job."  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Running game shines for 3 plays. Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No adjustments anywhere.  Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  (repeat)

Said the same thing about LJ today...reading the quotes from him this week about him being worried about his contract + the fumble last week (still hasn't learned how to carry the ball in 5 years)+penalties today = get the farg out icehole.

He's trash. farg him.

NOtice how the running game picked up AFTER McNabb left?  :boom

Balanced attack WITH McNabb and this team is 100 times better for years. I hate Andy Reid.

Feeley
-- playbook is not scaled down because he's in there

If anything, the playbook was opened up to reveal previously undiscovered running plays.

shorebird

Other than the great play of Bwest, this game was an exercise in futility.

ice grillin you

QB Eagles

The Eagles would be tied for first place in the AFC West.

The Eagles suck, but no worse than about 25 other teams.

i watched some of the washington game again after the dolphins game today, and consistent with the year, TKO over-pursues a lot.  although he's not the high risk high reward type of over pursuer.  a lot of times he runs into gaither who has his own gap.

edit:  when we run the ball, we don't look so bad.  juqua played pretty good today.  i'm not sure if our #1 need is db or wr or dlineman.

Draft a safety, sign Terrell Suggs, trade for Larry Fitzgerald.  Super Bowl.  :P
