farg Boston. The refs in this game were ridiculous. I can't believe they rewarded the Bruins a penalty shot after Timonen's dive. His stick was clearly hit by Kessels leg and not thrown.

This is becoming a familiar scene:

Another one bites the dust

I hope you're right.  I don't think it deserves one at all (other than the match penalty that it received for that game).  But with it being the Flyers (and having two other incidents) and with there being a pretty significant injury, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bettman's lackey come down hard.

Randy Jones gets 2 games

Quote"While it is my determination that Jones did not intend to injure his opponent, he did deliver a hard check to a player who was in a vulnerable position," said NHL Senior Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations Colin Campbell in a press release.  "There have been suggestions by some that this hit was comparable to incidents earlier this season where players received significant game suspensions for blows to the head.  These comparisons and suggestions are wrong," Campbell added.

Lucky.  That arbitrary decision could have easily gone the other way.

That's a link to the same article, my furry friend.

GHEY... Volchenkov got off with a $2500 fine for the same hit.  Honestly, the league is out to get the flyers, or at least punish unfairly.

QuoteThere was no change in the health of left winger Simon Gagne. He was still listed as day-to-day with dizziness after being hit on the chin Wednesday in Florida. Over the weekend, he flunked a baseline test to determine whether he had a concussion. Gagne said Saturday that his dizziness had subsided, but he was having vision problems.
better not turn into a Primeau situation.

I still can't get over the fact that Colin Campbell is the one doling out suspensions.  How ridiculous is that?
