anyway, i hope matt holliday cant walk. bring them on. coors certainly wont be any kind of tough environment, the fans were lousy.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

that crowd looked like a bunch of guys who were in from out of town and given free corporate tickets.

I noticed that.  It's was like no one in the stadium had been to a game all year and finally decided to go since the Rockies were finally playing an important game.  Not trying to make it sound like Phillies fans fill the stadium every day but at least Phillies fans show up sporting some sort of team gear.  It's almost as if everyone just decided to show up to the game after work and buy a ticket at the gate.

I just saw the replay...he didn't touch the plate. Wow. If I'm a Pads fan, I have a broken TV this morning.

So, which jobless losers will actually be watching in HD on Wednesday at 3?

Rome

A 3:00 mid-week start is preposterous.  Two of them is a slap in the face.  Then they go to Colorado and fans on the east coast will be stuck with two starting times where the games likely won't end until after 1:00 AM.

farg MLB.  I hope Selig enjoys watching his precious Yankees/Red Sox games from a hospital bed.  Asshat.

I may have to legitimately take off tomorrow for my son who got sick last night.

I think he needs to stay home tomorrow, just to be careful.  ;)

QuotePhillies Notes | Playoff roster may not have Eaton on it

The Phillies have until 10 a.m. tomorrow to submit their 25-man roster for the National League division series with the Colorado Rockies.

It is unlikely that righthander Adam Eaton and his 6.29 ERA will be on it.

But one potential cause for concern is catcher Carlos Ruiz. He suffered a bruised left elbow in Sunday's 6-1 victory over the Washington Nationals at Citizens Bank Park when he got hit with a pitch. Ruiz, who had to leave the game as a result, said afterward that he hoped to be able to play tomorrow, but he sounded unconvinced.

Ruiz remains sore but said he felt better yesterday. He is scheduled to have an MRI exam today to rule out any small fractures in the elbow. If the Phillies are not convinced that Ruiz will be ready by tomorrow for Game 1, they might need to carry an extra catcher. Because catcher Pete Laforest is ineligible for the postseason roster, that means Rod Barajas could join the squad as a No. 3 catcher.

The Phillies are expected to carry 10 or 11 pitchers, with Cole Hamels, Kyle Kendrick, Kyle Lohse and Jamie Moyer in the starting rotation.

Some of us with jobs will use personal days to attend both games.
