Already thinking about the 2008 draft...ha

So....Darren McFadden or DeSean Jackson?

DeSean Jackson would be a no brainer at this point.  He provides a game breaker in the return game and offense.

Wow!  McNabb looks like complete shtein out there.  Is he done?  Or is it just Andy and the staff rushing him back out there when he's not ready?

3-13.. here we come!

shorebird

46 passing attempts, 20 rush attempts, 18 if you take away McNabbs two scrambles. That is just farging pathetic when you have Westbrook in the backfield along with Buckhalter. And why did we even bother to draft another runningback and keep him on the roster if your not even going to use him?

Westbrook had 96 yards on 17 attempts. Thats well over 5 yds. a carry. He should have gotten' the ball at least 25 times.

WTF man? I'm baffled by Reid and his play calling. He ran with Garcia, but won't run with qb who right now couldn't throw the ball through a tire at 10 yards.

Magical_Retard

watch if reid is asked about the pass run ratio he will say how in the 4rth we had to run. that would be true had we been down by 17+ but we were down by 11 with a full qrt to play. and even before already by the 2nd qrt when ESPN showed that run pass ratio stat....the eagles were passing far more than they usually do. i think at that point it was 7 runs to 16 passes.

as for mcnabb bitching about not getting respect...i dont think he ever said that....i meant overall in terms of the things hes gone thru from the media and organizatins like the NCAAP. of course it doesnt help that every time a eagles game is being broadcasted the draft is brought up, booing santa is brought up, and then last night with barkely espn pretty much had a 20 min segment on the fans. never mind the fact that all fans of any team boo their team when they do not perform well. especially when a smart fan base realizes within the first qrt what kind of game it will be and the coach can not or will not adjust.

Anybody else catch that graphic on the Eagles offense during that last drive?

Possessions: 22
Touchdowns: 1

I knew the game was over right then and there.

That's some ol' 2004 Ravens offense type shtein right there...

I dn't understand why they stopped running the ball when they got to the redzone.  Did Buck even get a carry?

46 pass attempts! Even a healthy McNabb should not be throwing 46 times Reid. What frustrates me is that he is still hurt and they still are putting him in position to get hurt more and more. Not only will running the ball help open the pass, but it will take the pressure off McNabb when he needs that most right now. We all know McNabb is not 40+ pass QB.

What the hell are the coaches smoking???? Its so fundamental is sickening. Clean the fargin jelly out of your ears fargwad!

It's time to end the Reid/McNabb era.  I don't care if they put together a couple more good games this season or even make the playoffs.  There is no accountability between the two of them, and there is too much mutual admiration to do the right thing.

McNabb should be on the bench healing, and Reid should be at home knocking some sense into his kids.

westbrook is the only good thing on the team right now...they should be riding his ass not throwing the ball 46 times...its just nuts

Actually, I'd keep all of the following guys:

Westbrook (duh)
entire OL (been playing well, actually)
Avant (excellent 3rd WR)
Baskett (excellent 4th WR)
Kolb

Bunkley
Gaither
Spikes
S. Brown

Akers
Rocca

Throw the rest of the team into the sun and start over.

I would add Lito to that list. What about Dawk?

Lito is useless.  The team counts on him to be a #1 cornerback, and he's always injured.  Into. The. Sun.

Dawkins has lost multiple steps and is quite old.  You don't need a guy like him if you're rebuilding.  That said, if I had to make the decision, I'd let Dawkins die on the field at the ripe old age of 85.  He won't live that long, however, due to the HGH and steroids.

ice grillin you

yeah dawkins needs to be put down...of course there isnt a replacement anywhere in sight since the team cut a safety 48 hrs after drafting him

and no way you get rid of lito...hes an all pro level corner...i dont care how much he gets hurt you dont get rid of that

I do have a list of positive surprises from last night, though:

Offense
1.  Westbrook.  Christ, the guy is so damn good.  Maybe he should line up at QB so he has the ball every play.
2.  McNabb's 4th Quarter.  Finally, the pass wacky gameplan was actually necessary, and McNabb was throwing strikes.  Of course, he undid much of the good will he was starting to build up with the miss on 3rd down with the game on the line.
3.  Jason Avant.  This guy runs great routes and catches everything.  I don't even care that he went to Michigan.  He's the perfect 3rd receiver for any team.  Too bad he's outplaying the 1st and 2nd receivers.
4.  OL.  McNabb had enough time to make plays.  The underused running game was effective.  Justice came in and played ok.

Defense
1.  Played admirably as a unit, considering injuries and the fact they were on the field the whole game.
2.  You know what?  Nevermind.  They gave away more big plays than they had.  A great defense would have held the average Washington offense to 10 or less.

Special Teams
1.  No muffed punts!
2.  Buckhalter actually looked pretty damn good on KR's and would have broken one huge if he didn't lose his footing.
3.  The Rocca/Akers combo looked great on punts and FG's.  Good.

Coaching
1.  lol, jk

When Garcia was in there, we had no choice to use Westbrook. With McNabb in there, Reid still thinks he is superman and can take over. Westbrook then becomes a blitz-blocker.

I mean, what the farg happened to  positioning him in the slot and getting mismatches with the LB's here and there? The skins were pressing the whole game with their corners, with the exception of playing a soft zone towards the end. The Eagles consistently use the same offensive 3-man sets, nobody's in motion to off-set the D...its so vanilla its disgusting.
