let them learn the defensive schemes

hopefully they learn the scheme where they tackle soon

Precisely.  The scheme was very vanilla, that's great.  But the scheme doesn't cover tackling, blocking or catching, all of which were abyssmal as mentioned above.

You still have to perform basic skills, even when you haven't game planned.
Anyone but Reid.

Speaking of dropped passes, Brown looked stoned last night.  I don't know what his deal is but he better get his ass in gear.

Also - loved the ball that Kolb threw on his last play to Vickers in the end zone.  Nice zip on the ball and right into the waiting hands of Vickers.  Too bad Vickers let it sail right through his hands, but still, nice. . .

Kolb looked to have much more confidence last night.  I like his skill set, kind of like Garcia.

Just got to watch the game tape from last night... I'm really starting to wonder if Bloom is even going to make this team. Not just because he didnt play much last night, but if you think about it, it almost makes more sence to have a guy like Buck returning kicks because he'd make the team as a running back most likely anyway. I dont think bloom makes the team as a wide receiver, barring some natural disaster.

I'm really tired of everyone making a huge deal about Bloom. He's shown jack in the preseason imo. I dont care if the guys got a fargin rocket strapped on his back, if he cant break a tackle, he better not be returning kicks/punts

I can't believe how some of you are complaining about the play calling.  This is all part of Mr. Reid's master plan.  I'm telling you, he's got the rest of the league right where he wants them.  Right now, every other HC is thinking that this is just the same old Andy Reid who likes to throw the ball when he should be running it.  So when the season starts, he's totally going to trick everyone and run the ball in those situations.  We've just got to have a little faith gents.

Praise Reid.

whos making a big deal off him? i think after the first preseason game ppl were just happy to see someone with speed and not mahe. but that has worn off and i think everyone realizes that the only way he ever takes one for a TD is if all the blocking is perfect and he has to run in a straight line.

i had forgotten about reggie brown's dropped passes....thanks for reminding me guys. this team looks exactly the same as last season pre mcnabb injury. passing too much...dropped passes...short offensive drives...defense cant stop the run or pressure the QB...horrible ST return teams.

i don't think Bloom has been good, but i also think the blocking has been abysmal.

Single best event from last night was a non-event:
No injuries.

Man - they're really circling the wagons over Considine.

QuoteThen if you such an expert, why not jump on Q for his late support on the pass that beat Barksdale? Why criticize one player and not the other? I love Q and he will play a lot, too.
