Spikes has looked good for the most part.

In a moment of clarity, Madden just did some excellent commentary that summed up Gaither playing MLB.

To paraphrase, "That's the problem you're going to have there. Not saying if Trotter was there it's not a touchdown, but if you have a guard come free to your MLB, he better be able to stone him or at least make him miss, and Gaither won't do that against a guy like Starks."

gaither isnt a middle linebacker...its as simple as that...its hard to believe he gonna be starting there opening day...but thats what happens tho when you totally miss on a position for as long as the eagles have...really from the time they got carlos emmons to takeo spikes they have utterly failed at the LB position...whats that five plus years?
