Objectively (if that's possible in this thread), how does the show fare on rewatch? I watched it once, and was thinking of watching it again. More importantly, I was thinking of trying to talk my wife into watching it-- but I wondered if it held up or would seem dated to a first-time viewer at this point. I'd think it would hold up pretty well, other than older cell technology, etc.

the only thing that was dated about it was how the show looked in terms of the definition of the picture but they solved that a few years ago when they re mastered it in HD

things like communicative technology would not be dated to your wife because she lived thru those times....that might only apply to a 20 year old who literally doesnt know what a pager is

I have re-watched it several times and on each re-watch I pick up new little things I missed previously or if it has been awhile I've forgotten some things and it holds my attention well.

The older technology isn't really an issue I don't believe because its only 15 years ago. I guess if you can watch an older black and white movie or even some 70-80's shows and not be bothered by the technology for those time periods then it'll be fine.

i dont know about mandatory but ive done it once a year sometimes twice since its gone off the air.....just started another one yesterday for the 15th year anniversary....its replay value is off the charts....no matter how many times i watch it i am so blown away bu how god damn good the writing is...almost every farging word is gold

also started 'the keepers' yesterday....got thru the first two eps...outstanding so far especially for me cause it all takes place between 10 and 20 minutes from where i live now
