He is 100000 times more tolerable than every other food personality in the world. Any food/travel snobishness is instantly forgiven when he makes fun of himself for being a smoking, drinking, former crackhead who happens to be the luckiest SOB on Earth. He knows what he is and he's fine with it. Don't see much of that in the spotlight.

To be honest I hated him at first too. Probably for the reasons Dio dislikes him still. But now he's the only food show host that I'll watch.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

And Bourdain is both.

vigy is only the latter.

I call this damnation by faint praise.

Perhaps. I certainly wouldn't argue.

Every once in a while, my dog drops a turd that isn't nearly as zesty as the usual turds.  Easy to see, deposited in one place, easy to scoop up, doesn't smell too bad, etc.

Bourdain is a good shtein.

p.s.
Sassy meant deprecating.  Not depreciating.  There is a difference.  Thanks.

I love No Reservations, I have nothing to contribute.

I'm almost finished Season One again. I banged out three episodes tonight and them knocking Wallace off was cold shtein. It seemed worse the second time around.

But I have picked up a lot that I missed the first time.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Isn't it better watching shows on DVD? I have no problem watching three, four in a row of a great show like The Wire.
