Nate Ilaoa, Philadelphia Eagle

I wouldn't put a move like that past the eagles (trying Hunt or Ilaoa at FB), after depending on Tapeh this year who was basically in his rookie year and coming off a hip dislocation. Reid just doesn't seem to value the FB posistion enough to really care who plays there, so why wouldn't he try one of two players who can catch out of the backfield and are more versitile then Tapeh would be in the passing game?

I guess the answer to that question would be because Reid intends on actually running the ball this year and using the FB for it's true purpose. In which case neither Hunt or Ilaoa have proven they can do. Yet.

They already have Tapeh and Tuiaposopo at FB. They wont try to convert either of those players when they have Tuiasopo who is a natural FB waiting on the PS.  Ilaoa will get his chance depending on injury but i highly doubt he makes the active roster.  Moats hopefully can be traded for something during training camp.  I'm thinking they might get some value at the best a 5th.  Since they actually got a pick for Honeybuns.

I just don't think they'll differ much from years past and they'll keep 5 guys in the backfield. The most likely top 4 being Westbrook, Buck, Hunt, and Tapeh.

That leaves one roster spot for Ilaoa or Moats. I'll take Ilaoa just because I like his size and he's gotta be smarter then Moats. I want them to give Moats another chance, but I think his time here is up. Unless Ilaoa just flat out sucks.

We sure are making a big deal about Nate Ililailaiaoaoa.

The guy will probably not be in the NFL more than a year or two... and even then on practice squads.

I think the only reason they've been keeping 5 RB's because of Mahe and they had no one else they could rely on to return punts.  Now that Mahe's gone... I say they go back to 4 RB's (Westbrook, Buck, Hunt and Tapeh), stash Ilaoa on the PS... and use that roster spot elsewhere, possibly WR... carrying 6, to keep Bloom and/or Johnson on board.

What's up with your boy Illy still holding out as the only unsigned low-rounder?
What's he waiting for, garunteed Spam in the lunchroom? ;)

He's waiting for Buck's knee to give out so he'll be more valuable to the team.

He's awaiting the Raheem Brock treatment, in case we run out of money before we can sign Abiamiri and Kolb.
