Barksdale: I Hate The Giants
It isn't common to see a guy who played only one year of college football, at a Division I-AA school for that matter, get drafted in the NFL. However, Rashad Barksdale is not only a freak of an athlete (4.43 40-yard dash) and one of the biggest corners on the Eagles (almost 6-feet, 208 pounds), he picks up the game of football like a pro.

A baseball player his first three years of college, the rookie from Albany jumped from the diamond to the gridiron only for his senior season, where he shocked everyone by getting 37 tackles, breaking up three passes and grabbing a team-high three interceptions.

"I don't think I need anything set up special for me, football just comes so natural to me," Barksdale said. "I feel so much more comfortable playing football, even after one year of it. ?I feel like I could do anything a four-year guy from a big-time school could do. I don't find myself any different from they are."

Still, his adjustment to the new sport at the professional level wasn't helped from the get-go. While he has it now, the team had a wrong address, and so his playbook got lost in the mail.

Just like Texas native Kevin Kolb, Barksdale won't please any fans by letting them know he grew up rooting for the Cowboys, but he certainly has a dislike for another NFC East rival.

"I'm a big fan of Brian Dawkins," he said. "I've been waiting for a long, long time for him to knock out Jeremy Shockey. I'm from New York, but I hate the Giants, and I don't really like Shockey at all."
