but he's still gong to be a top-2 pick in the nba draft. that's pathetic.

that being said, his wigspan is like 7' something, so that's gotta be a little harder than your average bench press.

durant is a teenage kid with a 7 foot wingspan...185 feels more like 285...and the weight has to travel much further with a wingspan like that

i dont know if you guys remember luke schenscher that stiff from georgia tech...i remember when he came into the acc they talked about how he couldnt bench 100 lbs and by the time he left he was up to 225

bottom line is durant is still gonna physically mature a lot and these numbers are absolutely meaningless right now

not to mention his game is not gonna be to bang inside with people like elton brand

That really is pathetic if he cant do 185 once, even if it doesn't effect his play. If I was one of the best college players in years, and just about the only thing against me is strength, I'd lift my ass off. I really don't understand why you wouldn't. Hell, Julian and Brandan Wright are both weak as hell and they lifted it twice.

again when you have a seven foot wingspan lifting 185 is like lifting 285...the fact that he cant lift 185 at 6'11 with a seven foot wing means absolutely nothing...less than nothing in fact....especially at 19 years old...i guarantee you kevin mchale couldnt bench 185 at age 19...in fact he wasnt even asked too

this is why the internet makes me sick sometimes...some loser posts on a blog that he couldnt lift 185 and people who know nothing about anything start running around the internet in a tizzy

I personally don't care that Durant can't do 185. It doesn't effect him when he plays, but for the level of athlete and condition he is in, he should be able too.
