ok, we're getting really close to panic time.

offense is pathetic.  they look so tight and lost at the plate. starting to feel like Shea the past two nights.

Brewers just went up 2-1 over the Padres.

Quick question:  ESPN radio was saying that the Padres had already clinched a playoff spot, and it was just a question of whether it would be a division title or wildcard.  But they have 89 wins, and the Phils and Mets both have 88 (pending on the Phils and Padres games this afternoon).

To me it is still possible for the Phils to win the division, and the Mets to tie San Diego to force a one-game playoff for the WC.  Am I not correct?

PhillyPhreak54

I believe WC tie's are h2h, Geo. I might be wrong.

Gonzalez goes deep for SD, tie ballgame...

WHY IS KYLE LOHSE'S PLATE APPROACH BETTER THAN THE GUYS PAID TO HIT?!?!?!? Good walk, Kyle.

Well, dammit, if there has to be a playoff for the division, there should be one for the WC.

Or at least let the division be decided head-to-head.  The total domination of the Mets should count for something.

Please, Phils, win this game and make all this moot.  And save me more heartache.

Right, the Padres have only clinched getting to a least a one-game playoff.

mitch williams ripped my heart out, cut it into little pieces and flushed down the toilet after peeing on it in 1993.  ask my wife.

Loshe is pitching like a man possessed.  I sincerely believe Gillick told Cholly in no uncertain terms that Eaton was to start today, though.  And for that, I hope Gillick gets hit by a piano falling out of a window.
