Is Rowand was successful in bunting (and both attempts looked wretched), Bourn would have been walked, and the pitchers' slot would have been up.

This is all irrelevant anyway because Rowand missed the sign taking the bunt off to begin with.

But coste came up with 2 outs there once the pitchers spot came up.

The point is, Winger, that there was no need for Rowand to be bunting or even hinting at it.  The guy has been on fire the last few weeks.  In fact, he's the only Major League player in the history of the sport to have two games with at least four extra-base hits in the same month and he did that within only a few days of each other.

He's flat-out the best Phillie hitter with RISP.  Showing bunt was a tactical error in my opinion.

Harry's been particularly painful to listen to today.  He's butchered about 1/2 dozen calls already and announced that A-Rod has 599 home runs and he and Griffey will both go over 600 HR's this year.
