Since Garcia's spring training effort, where he was mostly hurt, completely relate to what he will do over the course of the season, I say we have reason to be concerned. Also the fact that he won 17 games last season doesn't encourage me. Nor does the fact that he is a major major upgrade from Zack Segovia. And from Jon Lieber. And that we didn't give up much to get him. And that he is on a one year contract.

Still, he farging sucks.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Garcia was throwing 87 last year too.  An upgrade?  Sure.  I didn't say he wasn't.  He still does not deserve to be mentioned with Utley and Howard.  Yea and he won 14 the year before when he had a much much better season.  Wins are definitely representitive of a pitcher's performance.  Madson won 11 last year.

Why are you ignoring a pretty big fact while throwing a useless one at me?  I don't know.  Maybe because you think you are actually making a good point.

Guess what...

I've never felt worse after a baseball game. David Bell boots it, Rollins takes the wrong angle on a Tavarez infield single, Biggio homers. I hate baseball.

I will never, ever forget listening to that one on mlb.com and Harry Kallas saying "You have got to be kididng me!" as Biggio's hit was obviously "outta here".  You can also hear LA saying"Oh no" in the background with that deep, low tone.  farg, I was sick for weeks.  I'm still pissed.

maybe while he's at it he can knit a couple for Don Ho and family as we are scheduled to attend the game tomorrow night.  nasty out tonight.

Game tonight was postponed and will be played on June 29th as a double header. Garcia is expected to pitch vs. Glavine tomorrow night weahter permitting.

With all the speed Garcia lost on his fastball, he'd be lucky to keep the Mets in single digits.
