Gillick will prob make a deal soon.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Well it was a fun game to go to, aside from the predictable ending.

Rowdy crowd. I was up in 437, about 99% college students. Some drunk bitches were throwing large amounts of Peanut Chews everywhere. It was funny at first, then get annoying. A bunch of people got ejected, but it wasn't anything remotley interesting. Yet, the crowd I was with were entertained beyond belief. No fights broke out, just some toolish shouting and mindless drunken stuff. Meh.

Cole was terrific, but it was pretty obvious that the shtein was gonna hit the fan. No one can hit with RISP, Burrell is a joke, the bullpen eats ass juice. Ugh. It's gonna be a long year. After the game, numerous E-A-G-L-E-S chants broke out, including a "Yea, Montea Reagor" comment. Hooray.

Taking the subway back, the Hoydas in my group were adament that no one was to walk from Girard to Cecil B. Moore (where we live, about 5 blocks). They assumed that being outside on that block at 10:50 at night equaled murder and/or a mugging. Me thinks they need igy to tour them around the real hood.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Can we please disembowel Ryan Madson... or at least Charlie Manuel for ever putting him in any game with a close score?  Madson is horrendous and should be counted on to give up at least 2 runs an inning every time he's out there, just to be safe.

Gillick will prob make a deal soon.

he makes 3 kinds of deals

1) Brings in some crap that no one else wants (i.e. Alex Gonzalez, Ryan Franklin, Sal Fasano, Jason Werth, Adam Eaton, Antonio Alfonseca)
2) Trades away that crap for some mediocre middle aged journeyman
3) Someone overrated from the White Sox

That was probably the rowdiest Phils game I've ever been too. The elements didn't help matters, we were in 243.
Some highlights:
- Found $5 on the ground which paid for all of my dollar dogs
- Free COLLEGE t-shirt is kick ass
- There was a fight in the parking lot between 20 drunk college kids. We stood by with beers in hand while these Hoydas attempted to swing. It was borderline hilarious watching these idiots throw punches.

Lowlights:
- the game. Freaking bums.

Like the sucker I am I'll be back down there for todays game, get the brooms out. I have a feeling Eaton's not lasting till the 5th.

ice grillin you

I have a feeling Eaton's not lasting till the 5th.

yup

they got their two good starts and blew them...eaton isnt any good to begin with but the odds alone tell you they arent getting a third  quality start in a row....

look for eaton to get RAKED today
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

2 games into the season and this team is infuriating.  Somebody better call Jobu to wake up bats because this team definately isn't going to win a lot of games due to solid defense and a strong pen.

ice grillin you

this group of players simply cant win with even a little pressure on them

they get off to horrible starts when expectation and hype surrounds them

they cant finish seasons when the pressure to win is on

but they are great during the summer when they are 8 games out and everyone has written them off

aint a damn thing changed

Is everyone in agreement that Cole is damn special!  I missed the first 7 innings but i was just amazed what Cole did in the 7th.  The braves announcers were in awe of him again.  Really, with Myers where he is and Cole becoming the ace, thats a formidable top 2.  Once Garcia is back, it makes a nice top 3.  Eaton blows unless he decides to man up.

I was with RJS though, once i saw the score and that the game was going to the bullpen, i knew it was over.

It was funny to see how everyone somehow thought this year would be different.

They'll start off 2-5, be 6 or 7 back by the end of april. have a good may, terrible june...surge in july and august, only to completely flop in september.

Gillick is a fraud. Everyone talks about the 92-93 Blue Jays, but nothing about the failing to win (only to get close) with the Orioles and Mariners...

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

I'd like to reiterate how stupid it is to have Howard hitting in the 3 hole with Utley batting 4th. Its not working. I could see if it was midseason, Howard was hot, and teams were pitching around him, but its the beginning of the season and having him bat 3rd is retarded.
