They're much more like the skins FO - throwing money at the problem and hoping it will help.  No planning at all.

They really have managed to be the worst of both worlds.

Throwing money and government at a problem is supposed to be a liberal solution.... which is why I maintain that the Bush administration are actually a bunch of liberals who grew the government with a useless homeland security department instead of making the government smaller and more efficient in the face of 9/11. On social issues sure their conservative, but fiscaly these fargers might as well be Ted Kennedy's liver!

Fiscal conservatism began its death with Reagan, continued with Bush Sr., and was officially laid to rest for good, thanks to this overblown war.  Money and soldiers' lives are being thrown away instead of tactically attempting to reduce the threat of terrorism against the United States - which was the battle cry from the start.  It's such an abomination that it may actually lead to the death of the Republican party.

The most conservative fiscal plans were devised in the last 6 years of the Clinton Presidency, with the Republican-controlled legislative branch pulling one direction and the Democratic-controlled executive branch pulling the other.  GRIDLOCK is the only thing that's stopped the Federal government from flushing money down the toilet.

farg them all, but especially farg all the morons that actually think the government can be trusted with a huge chunk of our money to use for the better good.  It's a crock of bureaucratic shtein, just like this war, just like proposed "universal" health care, just like the direction welfare and social security have taken.

Gitmo is a tragedy of epic proportions. That cannot be overstated. Imprisonment without trial or cause goes directly against the values that this country was founded upon.

The 'War' is a tragedy of epic proportions. Soldiers are dying for an unknown cause. Consultants to the military are becoming rich beyond comprehension. And if anything it has drawn MORE ire and hatred in America's direction.

This confession, true or not, is a farce.

BOTH of the political parties SHOULD be on the verge of collapse. One is run by a band of right-wing yahoos with no regard for civil liberties. The other is run by left-wing yahoos who are so disorganized and ineffective that they have been unable to even put a dent in the policies of the least popular president in a century.
