Yeah, it 'worked' to the tune of no superbowl rings, a torn apart team, a front office that has gone back to shying away from free agency completely... Yay!

We were just praying for T.O. to be here...we were all willing to deal with the aftermath...at which we had no idea what extent it would be at....but it wouldn't have been that big a deal, the way it went down if we had won. We all would have put that 'at least we won the superbowl' cherry on top of the shtein.

I just want Donte....I'm sure it will come with some baggage as well.

Reguardless of how the second season turned out, the first one with TO was a Superbowl appearance, and probably would have been a win if he had not have gotten' hurt.

farg TO. I knew from the minute I heard that they were trying to acquire him that he would be awful for the team. I rooted for him once he was an Eagle but his presense led to everyone (myself included) questioning McNabb's toughness and Reid's motivations, a wasted year of football, a team that refuses to do anything in free agency... bringing TO in farging sucked balls.

thats cause you care more about the players than the team....they had the single best and most enjoyable year in the history of the franchise...and probably my all time sporting event in the 04 nfc championship game

i wouldnt trade that in for anything

I loved the TO signing, we all hoped the guy had a bad rap in SF but he just proved he's a total ass.  Either way, it was worth it, but they still ended up short of what we all really want

He single-handedly ruined this team for a year. He called a lot of things about the team into question and brought internal shtein to the public eye which further damaged the team. I coud give a shtein about individual players and everything I've ever said here echos that. He damaged the TEAM. That's why I hate his dumb farging ass.

so then youd rather trade in the 04 superbowl year for not having TO on the 05 team

the 05 team was done the minute donovan got his hernia jonhson...they were going to do nothing in 05 regardless....so why would you give away the unbelievable joys of the 04 season just because you dont like one player on the team

I didn't experience 'unbelievable joys' in 04. It was fun but I'm not interested in making it to a superbowl and losing. It would have been absolutely worth it if they had won a championship. But they didn't so it was just another season and the after effects have been enough to make it a bad deal. You obviously care more about one season where the Eagles didn't win a superbowl than you do about the team.
