Ike I assume can still play a little. So, why not. They signed Hugh Douglas when he had nothing left, why not Ike.

Ridiculous money for some of these players, but come on, the Eagles need to do something. Make an effort at least.

Chris Brown: The former Tennessee Titans running back has as many as three visits setup for next week, according to a well-placed source. Teams that have shown interest in possibly signing the former 1,000-yard rusher include the New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

Walt Harris: The San Francisco 49ers extended the contract of the Pro Bowl cornerback by two years through 2009. Terms of the deal were not available. Harris, an 11-year veteran, had a career-high eight interceptions last season. Harris, a first-round pick by Chicago in 1996, has played for four teams.

Niners will be contenders next season.  More great talent evaluation by the Skins.

Linebacker Tully Banta-Cain visited with the Rams yesterday and may be a goner.

"They need a pass-rusher, that's no secret," said agent James Sims. "And (coach Jim) Haslett's a hell of a defensive mind. He'd really be able to utilize Tully's versatility to play in 4-3 and the 3-4. Plus, it's a team that will contend."

Banta-Cain has also heard from the Steelers, Ravens, 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Dolphins, Browns, Jets and Giants.

Wynn Silberman, the agent for Titans unrestricted free agent running back Chris Brown, reportedly has the Eagles on a short list of teams his client plans to visit.

Were close to signing that tub of shtein nose tackle from the Ravens. Havent heard anyone else.

According to John Clayton of ESPN, the 49ers will sign Ravens nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin to a 3 year contract worth $6 million that includes a $3 million signing bonus.

Clayton also states that the team will go after Dolphins linebacker Donnie Spragan.

It's taken a while for them to beat all optimism out of me but they finally did it.  The offseason is exactly that when it comes to this front office.  Off.
