Yep, I'm an idiot.  But farg I'm sick of this hole in the Bronx after five days laying in bed being sick.  And I might be working directly for Satan/George Bush, and quitting in two days, but until I do quit I feel guilty for staying home if I'm not actually sick.  It's not right.

I'm guessing you get x amount of paid sick/vacation days per year, no?  When you resign, will be able to "sell" those days back to the company and get paid for them?

Nope.  No set amount of sick days.  You abuse that, they fire you.  But they don't allot them, and you can't sell them back.  Nor can I sell back un used vacation days.  Nor can I carry them over to the next year.

They don't know I'm leaving.  If they did, they might find a way to get rid of me before the bonus pays.  When I do leave, they'll hate life for a while, but they'll survive.  Learn SAP and I'll give you a recommendation.  Focus on SD and MM modules.

Mind you, I worked from home the whole time I was sick too.  Did all the basic duties, responded to all work requests that other people couldn't do, etc.

So it wasn't like I was straight up out for four days.
