No. The Aussie will get his foot up their asses and break it off. He'll be needed on the team.

If Britt reid is 21 now, according to the eagles website, his birthday is 4/28/85, January of 2002 he would have been 16 years old. So I am pretty sure Andy didn't just "let him" drive the company car.

Of course, 16 year olds always listen to everything told to them. always. I did, and I am sure you did.

Just as likely, one of us is right and the other wrong.  See you in hell either way.

really it comes down to this....and you can throw everything else out of the discussion...

the reid kool aiders are gonna defend him to the death no matter what

were this joe gibbs kids the entire board would be on the taterskins thread saying the same things myself dio rjs ect are saying here

This has nothing to do with being a "kool-aider" and has more to do with just being objective. Being cynical does not make your side of the argument any more valid. I neither like nor dislike Reid, so I have no motive to defend him for other reasons, though you & others obviously have ulterior reasons to persecute him.

Nobody is going to argue the fact that parenting plays a major role in a child's behavior, though it's not the only factor that influences it. There's obviously peer influence & some genetic disposition governing behavior.    Is it possible that AR's parenting had an negative affect on how his kids grew up? Sure it's possible. Is it possible that he made all the right choices & yet his kids turned out to be thugs? Sure it is. Is it possible for kids growing up in violent & dysfunctional homes to become intelligent & emotionally stable members of society? Sure it is.

This is getting to be a pointless argument, so we should focus the blame back on his 2 asshat sons & save the Reid bashing for his areas that truly deserve it. His kid's deserve whatever is coming to them & hopefully their experience with law enforcement will be the kick in the ass they need.

Sure, it's possible.  That would be incredible to me, but sure.  Why would Lurie want to expose himself to so much risk?  He pays Reid enough for his family to deal with wheels on their own.

I know this much..the family of "our" CEO ain't allowed to drive his car...and he's in charge of a 1.4 B per year company..

actually i have no reason to persecute him in this case...i dont like him as a football coach but i could care less what hes like as a father or as a human being outside of the context of my football team...

im judging this situation on the information that has come out and the circumstances this is all taking place in....the same as i would if it involved a parent that wasnt coach of the eagles

theres no discussion to be had about the kids...they did what they did...and yes they do deserve to get whatever comes to them...but it is what it is...the more interesting talk resides in how they got to where they are

i agree with your last statement there wholeheartedly...but really if the family was allowed to drive the car it wouldnt be an "incredible" thing...and lurie would assume no risk...if reid had a company car there obviously would be an agreement written up that takes all responsibilities away from lurie and puts them on whoever is driving the car

You don't let someone use a company car but require them to cover the insurance.  Of course Lurie is on the hook for that, and if he's gonna let the whole Reid gang drive, then he's exposing himself to a greater insurance risk.

QB Eagles

Spadaro's column today:

QuoteIn Philadelphia, meanwhile, the football focus is in a lull period.

I find it hilarious that the #1 story in Philadelphia is an Eagles story and due to its nature, Spadaro can't even admit that it exists.
