its a serious question....i dont get it...he never played here...he told a team that is notoriously cheap to not draft him unless they were willing to pay...the dumb ass phillies still did it...hate him at the time sure i get that but why do people still continously boo him and why does easy care that he won an all star game mvp 10 years after the fact

im trying to understand why the hate for him is so much greater than that of others.....especially people who actually played for city teams

I blame:
1. Drew for going along with Boras and his ridiculous demands. A $10 million signing bonus for a guy that's never taken the field is ludicrous.
2. Wade for still drafting Drew and thinking he could strong arm him and Boras
3. Boras for being a douchebag about contracts

Wade has gotten his fair share of hatred from Phillies fans. Boras doesn't take the field so it's not like fans could take their anger out on him. Drew spurned Philly and that's what angered the fans. Same reason why Eagles fans dislike Bentley and why PSU fans dislike Kevin Jones.

i disagree that he spurned philly...he would have signed with them if they had paid...there were plenty of teams willing to pay...the phillies just happened to be one that wasnt willing

most eagle fans i know barely even remember bently unless hes brought up and they certainly dont care about him one way or another

and even if there is hate out there for him its not even on the same planet as jd drew...the jd drew stuff is perplexing to say the least....i mean they boo his brother for godsakes...oh well it is what it is but rolen is the guy that should be burned for ripping the city

According to an in-depth baseball ratings story and chart by John Ourand, posted on Sports Business Journal today (subscription required), the Nats are drawing a 0.39 on MASN/MASN 2, down 43.5 percent from last year. The average number of D.C.-market households tuning in is 9,000, which is...checking, checking....last in the majors. By a lot. That 0.39 rating is...checking, checking....also last in the majors. Also by a lot.

To repeat, the Nationals' number was 9,000, less than a third of the viewership in next-to-last Kansas City. The lowest average ratings, aside from the Nats, are found watching the Angels (1.24), Rangers (1.49) and Dodgers (1.57). To repeat, the Nationals' number was 0.39.
