Staying up til 2am to watch the Phillies closer lose his first game of the season in an epic 15th-inning exhibition, while one of the most hated players in Phillies history takes MVP... if this game actually counted it would pretty much sum up life as a Phils fan born after 1980.

All star games are the biggest waste of time ever.  They used to be relevant because it allowed the players to stash a few bucks into their pension funds, but now it's just an exercise in self-congratulation.

The pre-game bullshtein last night was nauseating.

They need to do something with the all star game...making it irrelevant again would be a step in the right direction.

The fact that they use an exhibition game to decide who gets home field advantage in the World Series is laughable.

Imagine if the NFL decided which city got the Super Bowl based on the previous year's Pro Bowl.
