Floyd was the higher touted prospect coming through the system.

The phils pitching coaches throughout their entire system top to bottom are terrible. Hamels knows this, which is why there were stories of Hamels being a hot head, and uncoachable when he was in the minors. He was trained on the side, and defied the phils coaching, with good reason, and good results.

Had the phils not completely farged with Floyd for 2 years (in the pen, then a started, sent up and sent down), myers would not be a concern right now.
