Another part of me thinks the Red Sox is worse.   Their fans may be more smug than Yankee fans, when they have much less reason to be smug.

Technically, you're correct (by about 1.5 miles).  But don't try to say there are more Patriots fans in Providence than in Boston.

there arent more because providence has less people...but providence is as much the patriots home as boston....truth be told there arent a lot of patriot fans period but they are truly a regional team ie from new england....not boston

If it were somehow possible to air both the Super Bowl & World Series at the same time and the Red Sox & Patriots were both playing, I wonder how many Boston fans would watch the Super Bowl?

I'm guessing the split would be 90/10 for the Series.

It's times like this that I actually feel sorry for our pal, Russell.  Having to live among those douchebags is bad enough when they're losing... I can only imagine how insufferable they are now that both teams are winning.

I actually thought about our pal Russell this morning when I saw that the Sox were on their way to the series. 

Sox: In the WS looking for their 2nd title in 4 years.
Patriots:  Looking damn near unstoppable and a lock to win their 4th Lombardi in 6 years.
BC: #2 in the country in the new BCS standings.
Celtics: Crazy expectations with KG, Pierce and Allen which in the East could put them in the Finals.


I wouldn't want to deal with that shtein for the world.
