It's also fair to add that the biggest thing Apple had going for it was innovation. I don't think that can really be said in this release. They're basically implementing things that have been in the Android community for years.

my biggest criticism is the android operating system.  i had an Evo years ago and the OS was such a pain in the ass.  iOS is basically maintenance free which I like.

Those were the Early days of Android, though. It's come a long, long way, and I like the Samsung build, overall. But, I agree with you, for people who just want the phone to work one way and don't care about personalizing it, iPhone would be a fine choice.

I absolutely loved the Galaxy 5S.  I would have bought that without a doubt if Apple hadn't gone a bit larger with the 6.  Also - the camera in the Apple has a smaller megapixel count, that's true, but MP's aren't everything.  Besides, if you're interested in taking professional quality shots, there's cameras out there that are ten times better than any camera phone and cheaper than your average iPhone or Galaxy.

Bottom line... both are fantastic.  I have everything Apple and I'm sticking with it.  And for all the crap iTunes gets (much of it warranted) I find it tolerable enough to ignore its flaws.

Really looking forward to iOS 8, though.

yeah the earlier droids has some issues but I have had the mytouch and now the S3 and loved them.both. undecidednif I want the S5 because it seems too big.do they have minii version coming out ?

There's also a Note 4 coming out, too. Had I known that in May, I'd have probably waited instead on going with the S5. No biggie.

Also, the larger screen doesn't make the phone harder to carry with you. Fits in my pocket just fine.

I'm in for the Note 4, I think. I'm coming from a Note 2 that's been absolutely great to me for years.

Just went to a Starbucks next to an AT&T store. Literally laughing at the ridiculousness of the people who slept outside in a line that wrapped around the building. What the farg? It's a phone and it doesn't even do much more than the ones they have in their pockets. Ridiculous.

in ny they were sleeping outside a manhattan apple store for two weeks and as of about an hour ago there were over 5000 people in a line that stretched 20 blocks
