Garcia taking over Philly

According to NFL radio this week it sounds like it will be between Philly and Tampa Bay.

Tampon Gay? Seriously. Well if Garcia is indeed honest about put winning over a starting job, it seems like he's gonna be back. And thus, a media created QB controversy will commence.

I don't know how serious the Eagles would be in bringing him back though.  They may end up keeping Detmer on the roster to hold for Akers which means that the 3rd qb spot would be between Feeley and Garcia.....unless the Eagles opt to keep 4 qb's on the roster, which I doubt.  The Eagles may also be content to start the season with Feeley if need be, should McNabb not be ready to go on opening day. 

So either the Eagles get someone who can actually hold the ball on FG/PAT (from within the ranks) for Akers or Garcia may end up being the odd man out.

They had a phone interview with Garcia on Mikey & Mikey this morning. He sounded like he really wants to be an Eagle next season. He gave several reasons why ne wants to stay in Philly and seemed much more sincere than the normal blah, blah, blah, I want to stay with this team that you normally hear.
He said niether he nor his agent have had any contact with the Eagles. He's a little concerned.
So, all things considered, I just gave up. I am no longer waiting for the next Tuesday/Wednesday PR about the Garcia/Stallworth signings.
