we shouldn't be complimenting him for making one move that a pee-wee league coach or retarded monkey could make.  his time management was horrible as usual yesterday.

It's not his fault Garcia called a time out instead of letting the clock run down to the two.

HORRIBLE.

Watching the Eagles try to figure out what to do as 23 or so seconds ticked off the clock at the end of the first half was torture.

YES.

isn't that the whole point of not calling plays anymore?  so he can be more into the entire game?

It wasn't the only clock management snafu of the game, either.

I'm not tricked by this once-in-a-lifetime run:  Reid is an awful game day coach, no matter how you cut it.

Exactly, the game should of been in the bag by the start of the 4th, but Reid continued to give the Giants the opportunity to get back in it.

Not talking about that particular TO.  That was all on Garcia, no doubt about it.

But the Eagles had an opportunity to stop the clock on defense with about 45 seconds left of the clock in the first half.  The Giants were out of timeouts and were facing a 3rd down.  About 20 or so seconds ran off the clock before the Eagles took a TO.  That extra time would have been nice to have when the Eagles got the ball back to try and at least get a FG attempt out of it.  Instead, they took over with about 11 seconds left on the clock.  That falls directly on Reid and his in game suckiness.

Tomahawk

Tru dat - it was twenty seconds more the Eagles could have had. You guys are correct. There's know way that I should even have an opportunity to scream at the television for the team to take a time out.

What impressed me was the defenses ability to hold the Giants when they kept getting the ball at the fifty (or better). What disappointed me was the defense's inability to keep them from getting a first down after having them at second and motherfarging thirty.

the worst part of that conversion of the 2nd and 30, 3rd and long was that they blitzed Sheldon off of Plaxico and left him alone with Considine.

the only reciever that Manning looked to all game was Plaxico, you cannot leave him one on one there, especially one on one with a safety.

Yeah Considine really pissed me off on that play.  There is no excuse to miss that tackle.  That being said he has actually played some decent ball the last couple of weeks.

I think that was the play that I officially lost my voice on.

3rd and 12... when Considine gets over there... he has to be under control.  Get in front of Plax and make him come to him.  If nothing else, it'll slow him up until the rest of the D can get over to help.  He just goes flying over there and runs and slips right past Plax giving him nothing but open field to pick up the 1st.

They converted a farging 1st and 30....  :boom

OH MY GOD I WAS CURSING LIVIDLY WATCHING THAT REPLAY! That was such a bone headed call. Yea let's leave Plaxico one on one again, matter fact, lets just leave Plaxico one on one all day long and see what happens!!! Christ, they should of doubled him.  I don't care if it left Shockey wide open, that gimpy fag couldn't of done shtein after the catch.   :boom

that play was similar to the play he made that beat us in overtime.  all out blitz, that the world all saw coming....

The players are also able to call timeouts. So, 12 guys screwed up there in all.

Diomedes

It may be possible for any player to call one, but I don't think the coaches would be pleased if anyone other than the QB is calling timeouts.

It falls to Reid, no one else.

General_Failure

Defensive players normally call timeouts in situations where they're stopping the clock to get the ball back.
