WR? - would be retarded because of the stallworth non signing but its still much more of a need than cb

DE? - not a need this year but its going to be a big time need sooner rather than later....so having a young there would be >>>> a young corner

K/P? - doesnt count...but you win

QB? - see DE

FB? - BRIAN LEONARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

I don't understand how CB isn't a decent need relative to other positions.  I know LB and S would be better ways to address the defense right now.  I also know you're with me when I say that one safety formerly known as "gawd" is aging and the other is really hoping to someday be average... so having more/better CB's helps.  Also, James is on a 1-year deal, Joselio Hanson's a nice reserve at best, Lito's often-injured, and Sheldon has some things to work on.  So, if he's the best player on the board, why not a CB?

WR would be retarded because they signed Curtis to a long-term deal and he's the oldest WR on the team.
DE IN THE FIRST ROUND would be odd because they're theoretically 4-deep already.
QB IN THE FIRST ROUND?  Come on.  Who would be there that would add more value than a CB?
Brian Leonard in the first round?  No.

remember im talking first round...the eagles could use a young cb to groom at the #3 spot...but thats not a position i want in the first round

and youre arguing the others like i said they were top needs...i only said they are more pressing needs than a thrid cb

cb is the only position on the team where the starters are both quality and young...cant say that about any other position...therefore it comes last imo

The problem is that CB is one position where the best players are actually usually high draft picks.  Pretty much every #1 CB in the league was a 1st round pick, whereas other positions can be addressed with good scouting in the later rounds.  This is mostly due to CB being a position that measurables are very important... and that's where I've said Sheldon isn't quite there... and he was a "reach" as a 2nd rounder.

they wouldnt be looking for the 'best' cornerbacks this year...theyd be looking for another rod hood...unless youre suggesting they look for a starting corner to replace sheldon or lito.....and imo theres no need for that this year

But, Sheldon's getting moved to safety, I heard.

Ha.

Maybe this is the year the Eagles finally draft a LB in the first. :-X

I know it won't happen, but I would love for them to draft Lawrence Timmons.  If not him I would like to see Griffin or Merriweather.

Is there anyway Dawk can play SS? This years draft seems to be deep at the FS position.

Splitting hairs between FS and SS is more retarded than Radio or Forrest.

A good safety can play both positions.  farg... Dawkins could play any of the farging LB positions better than the iceholes we're throwing out there now.  Hell, no farging doubt we over-analyze the LB spots too.... "but he's more of a WIL backer".  Shut the farg up already and ask if the boy can play some farging football.  Christ.

Whatever dude.  How many little guys play SS or SAM? Typically you want a guy with some size at those positions since they are important in run support.

Dhani has size.  Trotter has size.  How was our LB corps against the run last year?

Willis ran a 4.37 yesterday.  Forget that pipe dream  :'(

I said SAM idiot Trotter is a Mike, anyhow Dhani is small for a SAM. He may be listed as 230 but that is a definate stretch.

Keep on keeping on, buddy.  I guess we'll just convert Reagor to SAM and all our problems will be solved.

there isnt a position id rather have less in round one than a cb....makes no sense whatsoever...they are set at cornerback for the next five years

now safety....thats a different story

Sheldon and Lito are among the best starting corner duos in the league, but they're not exactly durable--Rod Hood started 14 games in the last 3 years.  Unless you trust Will James to start 4-5 games a year (and God knows who to be our nickel back 4-5 games a year), we need to take a CB on day one.

i guess i could live with that we were talking about first round tho
