A three-time All Big East linebacker, the Eagles should take Bennie Blades' son if he's still on the board at 27. In his senior season at Pitt, Blades recorded a mind-boggling 147 tackles.

That's kind of surprising.  I thought he would stay one more year.  I wonder if Petrino leaving had an effect on his decision?  I'd like to see him in Eagle green.  Kid is a beast.  A more lean version of Jerome Bettis

He's a senior already, but he had the option to take a redshirt year since he only played one quarter.

Don't safeties almost always fall in the draft?  I could see one of Landry or Nelson falling to us.  Crazy things happen when they get to the combines.

Also, I hope the Birds look at Cincy's former MLB, Odell Thurman and see if he can come in as a future replacement for Trotter.  Guy can play and I hope he has straightened himself out.
