Vonnegut was my favorite writer of all time, I have 14 of his books. He was one of the biggest influences in my life.

the NYTimes Vonnegut obit ends gracefully by quoting the final lines from one of his own poems, "Requiem:"

When the last living thing
has died on account of us
how poetical it would be

Damn, that sucks. Vonnegut was a favorite of mine too. Well at least we know he's on some far distant planet shagging a movie star in front of some aliens. Haha
