Tiki Barber on 20/20?

SIR TIKI TO ABC, ESPN

Well, we've got yet another reason to dump our Disney stock.

According to the New York Post, Sir Tiki is going to work for ABC and ESPN, with a four-year, $10 million contract.

The Post mentions that Barber also is relinquishing $8.3 million over the next two years in football money.  He also is potentially responsible to repay the prorated portion of any signing bonus covering 2007 and 2008.

Sir Tiki will work for ABC News on Good Morning America and 20/20, and in a yet-to-be-determined capacity for ESPN.

Our prediction?  It ain't gonna work.  There's already plenty of resentment of Barber in Bristol, and the fact that the full value of his contract is being reported suggests that he or his handlers have leaked the information in order to glorify his ego and/or to justify publicly his decision to walk away from pro football.

This guy is, in our view, another Ted Baxter.

It should be fun to watch.

Whoever wrote that tidbit above, though, is a douche.
