OBVIOUSLY, the Eagles still want to win their

division and host a first-round playoff game, instead of going on the road. What we don't know until they play is exactly how much this means to a slightly banged-up team that clinched a playoff berth Monday in Dallas. Remember, the last time the Birds beat the Cowboys, they came down from the high with a thud,

losing three in a row and five of six.

If the Falcons weren't busy getting their coach fired and worrying about getting back to Atlanta by midnight on New Year's Eve (as Michael Vick said of the latter in a conference call this week with Philadelphia-area reporters), this would really loom as a "trap" game.      It still could turn out that way, but it shouldn't. If the Eagles who played the Giants and the Cowboys the past 2 weeks show up Sunday, the Falcons don't have much chance. This is an Atlanta team that has lost six of its last eight, although the Falcons are 4-3 on the road this season.

Atlanta is the NFL's No. 1 rushing team, but Vick's 1,022 yards are propping up that stat. Warrick Dunn's last 100-yard game came Oct. 15, against the Giants. And there's the fact the Falcons could be eliminated from

playoff contention by the time they take the field.

Prediction:

Eagles 30, Falcons 21

Three huge division road wins, a trip to the playoffs already locked up, and the players possibly thinking about celebrating later that night....ya never know....

Seattle sucks right now and they could beat Chicago, not to mention the Eagles havent been great at home this year. BUT id like to see the Eagles whoop Maddens loverboy one more time before he retires. New Orleans, i can see beating them by 3 or 4.
