The way to spend Christmas is to watch the Eagles beatdown the Cowboys surrounded by Cowboys fans.  That was awesome.  Takes the sting out of my fantasy players coming up smallest at the biggest times.

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Romo sort of has a Bobby Bouchet thing going.

I can't say enough about the birds, watching that game with my Bro-in law (skins fan) and his bear fan brothers was so sweet, two of his brothers bythe end of the first half were cheering for the birds, what a gift by the eagles. And T.O. oh boy he can shut the farg up, McNabb and Garcia beat that A$$ in the same year, Cocaine Mike and Prime Time better put him on suicide watch.

From ESPN's article about T.O.:

QuoteWorse yet: T.O. is unhappy.

With a somber tone contrasting the goofy Cowboys-branded Santa hat on his head, Owens griped: "I need to be more involved in the offense" at least three times in a 7-minute news conference.

He absolved Romo for it, hinting as he'd done before that the play calling is to blame. :paranoid He insisted that he needs more balls early rather than late, a strange statement considering both his catches -- for 23 yards, with a 14-yard touchdown -- came in the first half.

As for himself, Owens didn't see anything wrong with visiting the Eagles at their hotel Sunday night ("That's my time, you know? ... I'm not going to shy away from my friends for anybody") and had an excuse for dropping a deep pass at a pivotal time in the game.

"He bumped me way down the field," Owens said, accusing safety Brian Dawkins of breaking the rules. "By the time I looked up and located the ball, it was right on me. ... I thought they were going to throw a flag."

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was in the same grouchy mood, calling the team's performance "just pitiful."

"I'm just stunned," he said. "I think that under these circumstances, with the players that I believe we have on defense, I didn't think there was any way in the world ... that we'd not be able to get this done." :flipoff

I love it

I don't know why, but it seems to me the Eagles always contain great players.

Proof that Payton Manning sucks? I think so.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I love the ball control offense this team has suddenly put on the field.

They won time of possesion 37:06 to 22:54. Bwest had  26 carries for 122 yards and 4.1 yds. per carry avg. Cbuck had 8 carries for 38 yds., with a 4.8 yd. avg. and a Td. Garcia only threw the ball 23 times for 15 completions. The Eagles had 20 first downs rushing, and 10 passing. That stat is amazing considering what we've seen from this offense in the past.

The first scoring drive was 13 plays for 89 yards using 7:12 off the clock. The next drive ended in a FG but took another 7:36 off the clock with 12 plays for 89 yards. The last drive that ended in Cbucks 1 yd. Td run was  12 plays for 80 yards. Time of the drive, 7:00.

It was great to watch them methodically move the ball downfield. I hope they can keep this up into the playoffs.

Who would have predicted AR doing this?  Seriously?  After last seasons McMahon debacle pretty much everyone thought the Eagles would pass into the abyss once again.  The Eagles have a OL designed to pound the ball (and have for years) and we finally get to see it in action.

As many others have pointed out in this and other threads, this needs to carry over into next season to help McNabb and  give the "D" some rest.

BTW...can any Eagles fan possibly read enough about yesterdays game??  No one in the media gave them a chance.   ;D
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

Rome

You can't win football games on a consistent basis against good teams without running the ball successfully.  Keep the ball out of the other team's hands and you have a shot against anybody.

I swear, if Andy hasn't figured that out by now, he must have a brain the size of a pigeon's.

If he goes back to his pass happy ways, 50 plus percent and the most of any coach in history, then I'll call for his head. He can't be that friggen' hard headed to not see what a balanced attack is doing with the same personel he had when McNabb was playing. McNabbs arm doesn't make that friggen' much of a difference to call a game the way he has called them in the past. It doesn't work when you need to control the ball and keep the good offenses that you see in the playoffs off the field. Those long sustained drives yesterday were perfection on the field. It was just friggen' beautiful to watch. And the D feeds off of that also. They come in rested and ready to knock some heads off. They had a great pass rush yesterday. You could see in the first half, they were starting to get close. I told my buddy, we will see a sack and a turnover in the second half. In the second half they were all over a supposed mobile quarterback, forcing him into bad passes and turnovers. It was great to watch.

Best Christmas present ever.

Just to chime in... Awesome. It was the best Christmas present I got in years. I'll be on cloud-9 until next season no-matter what happens next. I know Dawk and the guys have bigger goals though.  :D
