Unlike me, you should be proud of your team's play last night.

F'n Giants!

Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

I'm damn proud. Thank you.

Thanks Blue. ;D

It was a fun game to watch.

Thanks Blue.

I gotta be honest though...although I know coming from one who is rowdy from time to time myself, it may sound a bit hypocritical, but that was a nasty, nasty crowd last night. I got into it with a few groups where the Giant fans were completely instigating us. Personally, I love it - being in hostile territory with enemy colors on, but how come Eagles fans are the only group of fans who get shtein for being violent?

We even got abused by a security guard when Jacobs scored his TD. Guy got right up in my face until a NJ State Trooper came to intervene - except he threatened to throw me out instead of reprimand the guard.

I know most Giants fans are good people, but last night was a freaking slopfest.

I was at Giants Stadium Dec 3, and I'm actually agreeing with DieHard here. Those guys are terrible.

I actually am gaining more respect for Philly fans because at least when they aren't hurling slurs of a racial, sexual, or othewise insulting ilk at you, they're actually knowledgable about what they have to say.

I can't say that for the Giant fans I had to hang around that day.

Susquehanna Birder

Funny...the dingdong reporter who gets a chubbie by trying to incite riots says that the Gints fans are comparative wimps.

Insults, indifference for Birds jersey guy
Mixed reception for an Eagles fan at the Meadowlands.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Made it almost to halftime without a mean word.

Then, with 6 minutes, 50 seconds left in the second quarter, I saw him on the ramp between the mezzanine and lower level.

"Eagles [expletive], you [expletive]," he shouted as he ran by.

I wore a Donovan McNabb jersey to Giants Stadium yesterday, but it was not as bad as I thought it would be.

And, truth be told, it was considerably better than when I wore a Dallas jersey to the Linc in October for Terrell Owens' highly anticipated return to Philadelphia in a Dallas uniform.

At that time, I was greeted by a chorus chanting the A-word even before the game began.

Things were different in the Meadowlands.

Perhaps it was safety in numbers, because more - many more - fans wearing Eagles jerseys were scattered through the crowd than there were fans daring to wear Dallas shirts to the Linc.

Or perhaps a New York sensibility took hold. After all, the biggest insult in the Big Apple is to ignore someone.

This is not to say some Eagles fan somewhere at Giants Stadium didn't have a run-in that ended in fisticuffs. A fourth-quarter scuffle in the end-zone seats certainly involved fans, but the cause was not clear.

In some ways you could sense the tension just below the surface.

Before the game, Eagles and Giants fans tailgated in the parking lot, sometimes together.

But at one corner of a stadium lot, where an Eagles fan walked over to watch the TV at a neighboring Giants tailgate party, there was an angry stare down.

"You're not welcome here," a Giants fan shouted.

The Eagles fan, who may have had a little too much to drink, was finally led away by friends determined to defuse what had all the makings of an ugly situation.

"Giants fans are OK," said Joe Wells of Pottsville, Pa. "They welcome us to their tailgates."

In Section 219, one Eagles fan seemed to have forgotten where he was. He became very vociferous about each play early on, and soon was reminded that he was not at home.

"Will you shut up? You're annoying," a Giants fan told him.

He took the hint.

Also in Section 219, Meghan Stapenski, a young lady from Freehold, wearing a Brian Westbrook jersey and an Eagles Santa's hat, endured some chanting and verbal abuse, especially after the Giants took the lead in the fourth quarter.

"I'm feeling a little heat," she said.

That all changed when the Eagles scored two quick touchdowns in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, including one on an interception, and the Giants fans staged an orderly retreat before the final whistle.

And they were polite about the loss - at least as polite as sports fans could be under the circumstances.

"Good game," one forlorn Giants fan said to me as he walked out.

I've never had much of a problem with Giant fans when I've gone up. Philly fans are much worse, and I'm not saying that as a bad thing.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Some jerkoff called my fiancee a 'cee you next tuesday' at Giants Stadium once.  I took offense at it at the time, but upon reflection, he was entirely correct.

I'll once again tell my experience at Giants Stadium for those who missed it the first few times. I was 19 or 20 and wearing a Keith Byars authentic jersey at the Meadowlands. I'm probably the LEAST intimidating person you'll meet in your life and I was spit on by some wildebeest of a woman w/a stache, while she cursed me out. Had a beer thrown on me and random bits of food (hotdog, pretzel) thrown as well. Before I ever even got to my SEAT.  ::)

farg Giants fans. farg the Giants. farg any icehole who writes ridiculous articles like this. I hope he throws himself off the top of the Linc.
