Ahem.

If the Eagles defense can make the big stops and hold the Giants to field goals, and force some turnovers, then they can give up all the rushing yards they want. As long as they do enough to keep the Eagles offense in the game and give them the chance to win.

"You're an idiot, why would they do that against the Giants, they havn't done it yet this year."

Yes they have. THey've done it the last two weeks against the Panthers and taterskins, and they can do it against a struggling Giants team who's only beaten the same zesty Panthers in the last 5 weeks. They can do it, and if they do, the Eagles got a shot to win the game. Stop overrating the Giants, they aren't that good.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Munson

Oh, yeah...

Westbrook is too small and injuury prone to ever carry the load, let alone rush for 1,000 yards in a season.

Tooooooo many farging penalties though

Way too many ticky tack calls from the refs. The Garcia penalty was bullshtein. The Burress PI was borderline. Burress pushed off on Lito in the first half for a 29 yard pass play but there was no call. Half the holding calls they called were bad. Awful officiating. I hope the Eagles send a tape to the league office.

Agreed. And it seems like Eagle QBs get less roughing calls than any other QB in the NFL. McNabb and Garcia have taken shots and many don't get called. Since the NFL wants to baby the QBs, why don't they get the calls that some other QBs get?

That holding on Tra that wiped out the play in the 1st half was BS too.

The call on Tra was horrible. There were 2 or 3 roughing the passers that should have been called against the Giants. They were nailing Garcia late all game long. Amazing that they'll call a spike a personal foul but when Kiwanuka nails Garcia in the ribs after he clearly threw the ball it's not called. What a bunch of crap. I rarely if ever bitch about the refs but this game could have been lost by them.

I can't wait to go to work tomorrow and remind my co-workers that they root for Plaxico, Eli, and Shockey.  Losers.

Umm they didnt give up that many rushing yards, dingus.

Jeremy Shockey = Quintin Mikells bitch.

Mikell INtd a ball intended for him a couple of years ago and he smoked that icehole today.

What was funny about that loser was he told Dhani to use his head when bowtie's dumbass got that PF. Then he spears Considine. Dooshbag

Playoff update:

The Eagles cannot finish below Green Bay (H2H), San Francisco (H2H), Carolina (H2H) or St. Louis (conference record), and if Seattle loses out, they'll have 6 conf losses and would finish below the Eagles in a wildcard race, so it's down to Atlanta and Minnesota....

The irony of that gesture was delicious.

Looking good. Wow. Who would've thunk it.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

YEs, they played even better then I expected. I expected a lot of yards given up but the Eagles defense to make the big stops and create turnovers to keep the Eagles in teh game. But they did one better, pretty much shutting down the Giants.  :yay

Enjoy Dave, I don't think you'll see the people who have been on your nuts the last few weeks.

Andy Reid deserves some credit too. He's been blasted (and rightfully so in most cases) lately but today might have been his best coaching job to date. It was a big game and he was aggressive and managed the game well, which was one of his weaknesses.

Areed. Reid made some excellent in-game adjustments, though Morningwood might have been the playcaller....but they were pretty balanced today, and that was definately key to coming out with a win.

The BIGSTUD

If the Eagles win the division and the Saints lose one more game then Andy should get coach of the year. Someone had to say it and Andy has got this team bouncing back after falling under .500.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
