Jason Short was released today. The roster spot hasn't been filled yet....

Then it's already being more productive than Jason Short.

Munson

So the question is, who are they going to activate? I hope its Moats or Ramsey.

And please can people stop with "the eagles got dominated by the taterskins"....I think everyone is forgetting that the defense did exactly what it always did when it was "good"....give up huge amounts of yards, but don't break and allow them into the endzone, AND make the big plays when they needed to be made. They can give up 450 yards all they want, as long as they hold up inside the 35 and continue to make the big plays like they have the last two weeks (Lito's INT, Lews INT TD, Dawkins sack). That's how this defense has thrived for so long.

And it's an Eagles/Giants game....Dawkins and the rest will be real fired up for this game, especially if the Falcons beat Dallas....so we can hope for the best against the run.

This game could go either way, I think it'll be won by 7 points or less.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

they were up 21-3 and barely hung on at 21-19, how are you going to say that's ok...especially against a QB in his 5th start?
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

especially against a QB in his 5th start?

thats the key

if the eagles give up over 200 yards rushing and over 400 total yards best believe eli is putting up a lot more points than jason campbell....jason campbell is the onyl reason they won sunday not because the defense made big plays to keep them oput of the end zone

when youre a flaming homer i guess its easier to reference the eagle defense of 2002 than it is the 2nd half eli had against the eagles in sept 2006
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

1. Because, despite being up 21-3, Andy Reid continued to throw the ball three times in a row for 15 second 3 and out drives, putting the defense on the field for far longer then they should have been.

2. Of those 19 points, only one was a TD. A TD where Sheldon Brown had great coverage but the QB making his 5th start threw a perfect pass. Why ask that question if you're not going to actually read the whole post? When this dfense was considered "good" by I'm sure even the likes of you, that has been thier MO....Give up a ton of yards, be bad against the run, but don't allow them to get into the endzone. Bend but don't break. The problem for most of the year is they havn't been nearly as good at not breaking, and they havn't made any big plays. But over the last two weeks they have stepped it up to stop the opposing teams when it has counted by making the big plays. So, if they can keep that up, continuing to make the INT's (Lito, Gaither, MLew) and the drive stopping sacks (Dawkins), and keeping opposing teams out of the endzone then I'm okay with them giving up yardage.

And saying the Eagles have a chance at winning a game against a team that is 1-4 in thier last 5, with thier only win being over a team that the apparently sucky Eagles beat, makes me a homer.  :D

ice grillin you

saying a win in the game is not homerish just someone having blind faith which is kinda cute

however coming up with the most inane reasons for it is homerlicious son

like the defense keeping people out of the end zone

like aluding to the fact that somehow this defense is like the good eagle defenses of 4-5 years ago because they kept jason campbell out of the end zone

eli supposedly sucking when he threw for almsot 400 yards against them THIS year in philly when the eagle defense was supposedly good
