Seeing a strong, populist, intelligent, fiery, unapologetic progressive is such a shock. She is farging amazing and I hope that she never runs for president because the muckraking and character assassination will ruin what could be a game-changing political career.

I agree in general with that if the dems had a majority in the senate where she could head an important committee....but as it stands now and where it seems the country is headed I am for her running....with a pub congress she will be marginalized

shes also a lock to be a lifer (if that's what she wants) in the senate if she fails at the oval office

I love her as much as the next flaming progressive but she's not presidential material, or at the very least not polished enough to make a successful run.

I think I'd much rather have her throw her weight behind Bernie, who may only be slightly better at politics than she is, but I think would be more appealing in general to voters.

I'm torn between not wanting either of them leaving the Senate, and wanting one of them getting an expanded platform as perhaps a VP candidate for Hilary, and balance out the ticket since Hilary is basically a moderate GOPer. They'd be mostly useless in the role, but they'd get a much bigger audience for their views, which can be relatively popular for the working class person.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I liked her book but it's all useless noise at this point.

America wanted Republicans in charge of their legislative agenda and not only do they have it now, they have spineless Democrats to thank for it.

farg this country.

I have never been more proud as an American the day we re-elected this president.  Two years later that same country turned its collective back on the astounding amount of progress he's made over the last six years simply because he's black.  That's the only reason.  He's an African-American.  If he was white he'd be the most popular president this country has had in the last 100 years.  More popular than Clinton or Reagan.   I literally cannot stand to hear one more person criticize him or blame him for things he has nothing to do with.  I just can't.

lets be real tho....all the blame belongs on the young people and blacks that voted for him cause it was different and cool...and then as they usually do checked out on politics.....while racist America circled the wagons and went all in on destroying the first black president

Warren would be amazing on the campaign trail but she is essentially unelectable at the national level and her cache would be completely destroyed by a democratic nomination followed by a failed presidential run.

Let her spend the next two decades kicking ass in the senate and let the moderate presidents make incremental changes where they can. Everyone pisses and moans about spineless democrats and a republican congress but this president has enacted some of the most universally positive progressive policies the country has ever seen. The media noise has drowned it out in the short term but when the dust settles this has been a wildly successful presidency. Did you think it would be easy?

Just give me some Bernie action in the primary debates, that's all I want. Maybe throw him a VP bid, though I don't think he'd take it unless HilDog's people gave him carte blanche to say whatever he wants.

doesn't matter if she doesn't win....there have been a litany of senators that have run for president and still had great influence inside the capitol....in fact running for president gives you that much more cache in congress....see bob dole joe biden john mccain etc...

she should 100% run if for nothing more than getting her message to people that don't watch cspan

Bob Dole? He ran twice, failed and was useless thereafter. Same with McCain. Running is fine, I suppose, but if you get the nomination and lose the presidency you're done. If you want someone to get the message out and continue on as a serious leader from the senate you don't want them to get the nomination. You want them to debate and cause a ruckus and then go away while Hillary wins the whole thing. I'd rather have wild man Bernie doing that than Warren, personally.

dole and mccain are legends...running for president is not always about winning its about getting your name and message to the masses...shtein McCain this week was the only republican to stand against torture...hes still making waves....but to your point I don't need warren to get the nom....but she 100% should run....chance to win or not

I love Bernie but hes a joke in the big picture....he has no business being anywhere near a prez election....he couldn't hold liz's jock

That's exactly my point. He would be there to stir the pot. Force the moderates into uncomfortable situations and then lose in laughable fashion. Warren runs the risk of actually winning the nomination and no progressive northeastern Boston liberal woman is winning a farging presidential election.

id rather she stir the pot as a prez candidate than bernie be a clown show in a couple of debates
